In 1963 a new volcanoe emerges out of the sea to the south of Iceland and the eruption lasts for 4 years. Surtsey And Heimay. This video plays in the Volcanoes gallery at Auckland Museum (see www.aucklandmuseum.com/volcanoes), open daily from 10am-5pm.
