well that dosent really help the argument of being non-misanthropic. you basically just said to accept that humans are terrible and do horrible things to disrupt other animals because that's what nature is in general, including ours. how does that not encourage the misanthropic attitude. it really does quite the opposite because then the argument shifts to "well humans should know better since we are the most intelligent and hold the most power". which is not even misanthropy, it's just true.

@user-kz1bj2ch2p I meant that so many people keep acting like we aren't a part of the natural order. Every form of life we destroy comes back stronger than before. We aren't disrupting anything. We aren't an invasive species in this world, but so many seem to believe this. Hating ourselves for our natural instincts to dominate and reform the environment for stable living is as unreasonable as hating beavers for gnawing trees to the ground and making dams or any carnivore for eating another creature. We can't destroy the Earth's self-sustaining system since we're a part of it, especially since the very same materials that have been claimed to distrupt the world climate come from said self-sustaining system. We do have a responsibility to protect environments from needless carnage, but the melting ice caps as well as the rising temperature of the entire world are not our fault, nor are they anything we can help. Besides, the northern ice cap has grown thicker this year.

Here it's not mandatory, but there will most likely always be a pool in a lot of kid's birthdays growing up, so you'll probably end up learning anyway. Most people know at least how to stay afloat.

Dude what? Not teaching your kid is now abuse 😂? What if they don’t to learn? What if they use it in an abusive way? Which one should have happened? A little kid being taught how to swim but is being abused while it happened Or a kid not learning to swim until they got older/want to learn. Like I get the idea of what you’re saying, but it’s not something that can be broad. Plus not everyone even likes the water. I wish I never learned how the swim. Why would I? I don’t like large bodies of water so I’m not going to beaches. Or even boats. So my skill of swimming is basically useless.
