It seems they made it into more of a "finisher" this time around. So I personally thought that Spearhead sounded more appealing. 🙂 Fury of the Eagle always felt kind of awkward to use, but because it was part of the tier set bonus in DF, it was kind of forced on us hehe.
I don’t think we are that great in pvp right now. Cc and defensives are good. Defensives aren’t as good as some other classes out there but overall, it feels good. But the dmg output just isn’t there in pvp. Everything outheals and out shields us. Shadow priests and other classes are destroying sv hunters without having to sweat. They don’t even need to kite you. They just outheal our dmg. The other issue is, you aren’t that tanky if you go sentinel. You just do a little bit more dmg. I think survival is being over hyped for what it really is. The rotation may feel nice in pve but the spec feels super clunky in pvp.
Hmmm... haven't tested out other classes besides Hunter and Evoker on beta, but I have spend quite some time doing WPvP in The War Within, testing Survival Hunters "solo capabilities"... And so far I am VERY impressed by their performance. 🙂 I just uploaded a video, with me testing out SV in WPvP, and even before that video, I have mostly spend my time in beta focusing on seeing how the spec performs solo. I do agree that the spec feels a bit like the spells are competing, because of procs, low CDs, and no lack in energy. But I'm the type of person who loves the chaos. 😂 So I'm not the best to share my opinion "improvements" on the rotation. 🙂 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9PpdQejYa8E.html&ab_channel=KroesGaming
We went from the most fragile class to the most resistant class in a few hours lol maybe a little too many shields and resistance... It definitely needs to be balanced a bit😅
I thought the same about DH and Paladin back when they got reworked, but from my understanding they are still as they were, but with minor changes. 🙂 As a Hunter player, I would love going into TWW like this. 😂 But I also think they will receive minor tweaks.
It is probably too early to tell, but I hear people on forums talking about Sentinel being the "mandatory" hero talent. Most likely because it synergizes better in comps with a healer. 🤔 However personally I have been testing out Pack Leader instead as a solo player, and it's amazing for WPvP because of the extra healing, which means that a pocket healer isn't at all something you feel is needed to play Hunter. 🙂
@@KroesGaming Thanks man. Also, what do you think will the rotation with Tip of the Spear look like? You will always press KC > ability > KC > ability and so? That is a bit KC based imo, not a fan
@@betahumanx Yeah KC is definitely being heavily focused on being part of your rotation in the rework, which makes it feel a bit "old BM Hunter" in it's playstyle. However KC can stack 3 times. 🙂 So it doesn't have to be "KC > ability > KC > ability", which I definitely agree would get annoying FAST hehe. So it can be "KC > KC > KC > ability" as well. Which makes it a lot more fun to use, since it's a less "forced" playstyle. Personally I don't have that big of an issue with KC, since to me it basically just replaces pressing Serpent Sting in the old SV Hunter playstyle, but by actually being a viable way of trying to kill your opponent, since Serpent Sting felt slow and daunting... And like you were just cowering away while, poking at your opponent with insignificant damage, until you could run in and burst again... Old SV Hunter in general felt sllloooowww 😴 while new SV Hunter is a party of procs and button presses, which to me feels fun and engaging. 🙂 Also a small side note, which isn't as significant to the gameplay itself... SV Hunter is the fantasy of Rexxar. 💪 Which is the fantasy of fighting alongside your animal companion. So because we are entering an expansion where "we can become like our favorite Warcraft heroes", Blizz decided that SV Hunter should mirror the fantasy it was originally created for. 🙂 But you asked about rotation hehe... From my little time playing SV on the beta, I do the following: Opener: Spearhead (for 30% crit) > Explosive Shot > Scatter Shot > Death Chakram > Wildfire Bomb > Wildfire Bomb > Coordinated Assault (which resets Wildfire Bomb charges) > Kill Shot > Wildfire Bomb > Wildfire Bomb (then Kill Shot when available again during CA) Sustained: KC > KC > KC > Aspect of the Eagle (if not on CD) > Mongoose Bite
@@KroesGaming Thank you for your answer. Why do you have Scatter Shot in the rotation btw? So the priority of abilities will be something like this? Tip of the Spear Buff Bomb Kill Shot Mongoose Bite
@@betahumanx Btw I just realized that Tip of the Spear is usable with Wildfire Bomb, so you might wanna KC 2-3 times before WB if possible. 🙂 Scatter Shot is because I'm a ST/PvPer hehe. Scatter Shot doesn't break on damage from Explosive Shot, Death Chakram, and Wildfire Bomb. So I use it to incapacitate my oppenent, so he can't move while I do the first part of my rotation. The priority would be: Tip of the Spear Buff Kill Shot (if possible) Bomb Mongoose Bite 🙂👍
