I think the velcro on the sharpening stone is to protect your pants from the constant rubbing of the stone....

Thoroughly enjoyed the review. Gotta admit, I kinda cringe when you use the axe to baton that blade, but it solidly shows that it's got some tough stuff built into that knife steel. The pull gauge test was also valuable, thanks for doing it with the velcro both on and off. I've liked the looks of this knife since I first saw it, but thanks to your review, I think it might be worth getting or giving as a gift. I tend to give away the blades that I really like the best. Job well done and thanks for putting in the time to share it with us.

Impressive. I cant see how you could fake it. Very strong knife. I remember hiking in the deep woods, alone or with a friend, falling and having my knife leave the sheath. Very scary. It's one of my top sheath concerns now, retention. I also prefer knives you can find if you do drop them. (Remember, this was back when I was 12 or so, in Oregon).

Way to go mate, you da man! I love it when reviewers beat the shit out of a knife. I want to know what a knife can stand before I trust my life with it! Sure, I know it's not the way to treat a knife on a weekend camping trip where you have everything you need. But in times of real life threatening survival, you may not have a choice of all the proper tools, and yeah you may have to resort to using your trusty knife as an axe or a hammer! Again, good review and test! I have a Ganzo on order now after seeing this video.

Cool review of a "beater knife". The sheath resistance test has its merits. Loose your blade and you are screwed. I live in Canada so I carry an axe too. The GANZO should stand up to the canadian wilderness. Cheers, eh!

Feeling good after watching your captivating testing because i am waiting for mine ordered online. Glad to see it passes nicely. Just one concern, bamboo? I work bamboos with different thickness and hardness, I hope this blade will be good with bamboos. Tq

A sharpned prybar could be one of your best friends out there. Also, I have been known to use knives in a similar manner as shown in the video in real life, if they can't stand some abuse, then what good are they to me?

You.. you got a bit too into that. Damn man o.0 Looks like another good Gearbest buy tho. Nice to find someone else who's as into Gearbest as I am :D Bought a Sanrenmu 7094 LTX - PPH - T4 and I'm really impressed, the saw is especially good. Can recommend checking it out. Nice lite folding blade with a saw too. Definitely belongs in any survival kit.

With that morphology, that blade is a real beast and one of the strongest tip you can get in chinese knives now. I reviewd mine and i like a lot. It's true that the welder is the weakest point but globally, the knife is strong and i like it. If ganzo make another version with full tang... it can be great. Regards!.

Ive got the stargear same knife different colour. Great knife for the money. Used it and abused it in the woods. I would put it up against any knife for twice the price.

It is a pity I am responding in 2020. I would have loved to participate in the lucky draw. But I couldn't help noting that you hammered the knife with an axe! Did the pommel distort in the process? Is it a full-tang knife?

Ganzo is kicking " made in usa" knives asses with these. Look at the price, strength and premium quality. It can easily beat any 150 dollar crap knife made in usa.
