Most, if not all, your needles are way too big. I recently read a paper on paleo indian bone needles, here anthropology.missouri.edu/sites/default/files/faculty-docs/2015_bone_needles.pdf. The average thickness was actually around 2 milimeters. It's not hard to get them that thin and have a decent eye. I made two that thin.

Northern Woodsman great article. I have probably made over 100 bone needles. I have some that are robust and big and some that push the limits on being small. Some with holes, some are tail split and some that are hooked set. Many needles and awls with different purposes based on the material and usage.
