Thanks for the update. I’m two months right now and just started taking my first steps. I’ve been following along with you since it happened. Your videos have been great. Rooting for the calf raise!

Swimming has been helping me a lot actually , 7 month since post op as well. I have days where I am walking fine then the limping starts again , just have to continue doing the workouts.

Hello, you don't do the knee to wall stretch exercise? you know that if you don't have mobility, the tendon stretch you don't have power. maybe that's why you can't do a proper heel lift.

I checked with doctor and PT, seems stretch should not be an issue of calf power since calf needs tendon to contract not stretch

Hi i feel your frustration. My Achilles’ tendon was causing me pain for three years pain like a knife twisting constant. Treatment on the NHS I’m from England was treatment of electric shock treatment it was a waste of time. The pain was so bad i insisted that I went further up the ladder to get more expert to see me. A steroid injection was organised i was desperate the man doing the injection after looking at where it was going to be needed told me I don’t know how you have coped with the amount of pain your in. Instantly pain went it was wonderful no pain. But this was not to last pain free for 2 and a half months September to December in 2022. Then i managed to se same specialist to tell him something more needed to be done in fact if it meant my foot being cut off i would of probably not said no. I filled out paper work to see the next level up which would of been a surgeon to solve problem, two weeks after paperwork i was thankfully at home my Achilles completely snapped. It’s to much of a long story what i went through next i never want to go through this experience again the snap was like having a vicious lion ripping my leg off i blacked out at the time. March the 5th this year 2023 it snapped ultra-scan showed this was told i need an emergency operation straight away 4ams later one was organised i had to have a spir taken away and my big toe tendon had to be used to replace the Achilles. April 18th operation day 4wks soft cast then 4wks hard cast spent 12ams in bed then 8weeks in plastic boot. Now surgeon has said no boot in bed and need physiotherapist to get me using it. Sadly physiotherapist experience im having is not good needs to be better. Basically im feeling left on my own to deal with my recovery. I’m on sick pay my income is £400 a month I’ve a mortgage and bills and i have probably got 3months of learning to walk no idea when can drive again. So thank you for your RU-vid clip’s you’ve motivated me to stop sulking.

oh man it sounds horrible! cant even imagine the suffer. the fact you can spit it out and have the energy to deal with it shows incredible mentality. you did your surgery in april so now thats 4 months - hopefully you have recovered some level of your daily capability. tendon injury is so nasty that really just grinds you down. I totally understand. really hope you get better soon
