Worth considering that the Architect will actually show after ordered. The knife in your hand is infinitely better than one partially finished and sitting on a bench in PA
the voids are very bad for the knife actually. (ACKSHUALLY) lmao. Watch dutch bushcraft knives video on their bark river knives bushcraft scout. The knife broke and in the cross section of the blade, you can see black and brown spots all over the inside of the steel. Those inclusions are very soft spots in the steel so when he shot peens the surface, the peening process digs out and blasts away the soft material and that's how all his knives are ending up with all of these voids in them. It's funny cuz shot peening is something extremely common in the firearms industry but apparently it's very rare in the knife industry and it seems CPM has been getting away for a long time with producing sub-par materials when it comes to consistency.
Pretty much the same story for me. I have wanted a survive knives gso for some time but could never bring myself to order one. Went the Architect route and haven’t looked back.
