This video is in response to a viewer’s comment about the maximum temperature the induction mats can withstand. Spoiler: it is a lot! Watch as we put the Smart Rapid Heat Induction Slide-in Range with Air Fry & Convection to the ultimate test. Thanks to my fiancée for accidentally testing the induction pad limits by forgetting to turn off the stove. Amazingly, the induction pad was durable and sustained a lot of heat!

Enjoy the oven of your choice, and use common sense. These cooktop mats are wonderful to use, and they may protect your induction stove cooktop. THESE COOKTOP MATS ARE INTENDED FOR AN INDUCTION STOVE. DO NOT USE THESE COOKTOPS MATS FOR ANY OTHER STOVE.

Thank you for sharing this cautionary tale May your new induction pads remain unscortched!!!

Thank you for watching. I use the damaged one as a hot pad for my table.

I'm pretty sure some models have a high temperature detection and turn it off automatically. Due to the silicon pad, that temperature reading will not work if yours have this safety feature

I have not tested this theory on the bare stove. Good point.

Very funny. It was my fiancé who left the burner on. Oh well. All is well.

Thanks for sharing! I bought these thanks to your videos. I was wondering how they would work with lots of heat.

Does this not burn . I have lot of doubt and does this not effect induction

@@vaghii6731 In many of my videos, I have placed my hands on the pad without feeling heat on the pad. I have also used a temperature probe and have not seen an increase in temperature in areas where there is no pan.

Thanks for sharing and good to know the precautions. Any good experiences with the oven of this range?

The oven works very well. We like the convection option and the air fryer.

@@Linus007 Great. I have a portable induction cooktop. it works great but produces strong fan noises. Does the induction range have similar noise issue?
@Linus007
@Linus007 Год назад
@@leonardpatrol3805 This stove is far quieter than my portable induction stove. I can barely heat the internal cooling fans.

Linus I like the vids, thank you for sharing. Im getting a NE63B8611SG delivered in 2 weeks, and I like the idea of these pads, and thanks for the warning video. If the pads are on the element but no pot, will the heat transfer into the pad? or that is only when there is a pot on the element?
@Linus007
@Linus007 8 месяцев назад
Thank you very much for watching the video. We are glad that it inspired you. The pads do not heat up on their own without a pot. They are invisible to the electromagnetic activity.

Do you recommend these over a full pad?
@Linus007
@Linus007 8 месяцев назад
I chose these over a full pad because I found that it is easier to identify where the hob is located. With a full pad you need something that is translucent or transparent. I did not think that would look very nice on top of my range. These items fit better into a dishwasher.

Another consideration: replacing a small pad when I damaged it is easier and less costly. Had I been using a full-sized pad that covers the entire stove, I would have had to replace the entire thing at a more significant cost.

Technically, that pan is not empty. It is coated with a layer of oil from when you seasoned it. Also, the pan does not heat the food. It’s actually the other way around. The induction element uses a pan to create a magnetic field around the food. This food heats then that heat transfers to the pan because they are touching each other, then the heat from the pan may heat the glass surface because they are also touching each other. This type of heat transfer is ‘conduction’. You know how cold is a result of slowing down the vibration of the molecules? Like water becomes a solid (ice) when the vibration slows dramatically. Then water can become a gas (steam) when its molecules are excited, caused to vibrate much more quickly, eventually flying away from each other. Induction uses the pan to creat a magnetic field that excites the molecules in the food itself, thus making the food ‘hot’.
