I'm supposed to work on two cosplays but I got lots of time (august next year). Tips? Friends to keep you sane, always have something on Netflix/HBO/etc playing in the background and hoard ice cream.
My next con is daisho con I have everything ready except I have to finish my hawks wings and make sure to pack some items Tips for someone going through con crunch I noticed its alot easier if your cosplay sketched out and ready to go if you have a big list try breaking it down into parts like the bigger more important things first I also noticed if you work on your cosplay to long you'll start noticing flaws and will want to trash it try walking away take a breath and grab a snack take maybe 10 15 minutes to take a break. For me it also helps to have music playing in the backround
I don't have a first "regular" con on the docket for 2018 yet but I have about 4-5 new cosplays for 2018 that ~are on the goal list. However, I have promised myself I am going to use the rest of this year to PLAN-- to use this time to sketch (or find programs that I can use since I'm not a drawer), list and budget. Basically no new* supplies until the new year. Hopefully, this will help me focus on finishing projects and doing some repairs on current costumes. *the exceptions are wig and contact sales because you gotta be able to JUMP on those!
I'm trying to finish my Sumomo cosplay for an even on Saturday!! I'm ALMOST done, I just have to put the sash together and add the pony tail to my wig and she's ready to go!
I'm going to Daku Con! It's a new con for 18+ only, and I'm giving a couple panels - It's gonna be fun! I'm planning to wear some of my existing cosplays....just gotta decide which ones...
I was going to crunch for my last con, but I realized I couldn't make something I was happy with in time, so I just said fuck it and went in casual clothes. Now my next con is in March so it's pretty chill on that front.
Been con crunching for weeks, I leave today for Sci fi valley in Altoona pa and my odst kit has been a nightmare, ice gone through several armor "changes"
