The two of you remind me of my oldest son Kyler when he still lived at home. He and his friends used to fish, small game hunt, , , country kids. Not out getting in trouble, just living life and being awesome teens. You guys are examples for other youth to follow. I subscribed Especially for that reason. Great video by the way

Kieran Lepley if you really wanted to move out of where ever you live you wouldn't whine about it and say people should help you. You would learn a trade that is in demand and work your way out. There is no excuse for being impoverished. If you are poor over the age where you can work then there is a mistake (or multiple) that *you* made for things to be the way they are. The reason that people don't eat carp is not that they don't taste good. Carp actually have delicious sweet flesh, but they have so many bones that people decide that it's not worth eating.
Those grass carp are some fine eating! Unlike common carp in spawn, I think you would have a hard time getting a grassie with a spear. They are very wary and hard to approach closer than about 20 feet under most circumstances. They were probably stocked into that lake to eat weeds, so owner will have to buy more to replace the ones you are catching. Nobody much cares with common carp.
It taste good because those were Asian Carp and not the common carp that has such a bad reputation for not being good eating. Asian Carp are a white meat fish. They are not bottom feeders like the common carp is.

I challenge you, Urban Hunterz, to spend a work week (5 days) in a shelter made by you. You are allowed no modern tools of any kind except for suitable clothing. Modern tools excludes any hand made simple weapons or tools such as primitive hammers, blades, axes, etc. If you accept, reply, if you do not, you get the hella gay.
This is like a more manly version of Brokeback Mountain. They hunt together, cook together, eat together, go to the gym together, go to the hairdresser together, camp together.

You shouldn't have de-scaled the one that you threw straight in the coals. The scales act as burn protection and also help cook the fish evenly at high temps. After cooking you can just scrub it with a blade or give it a gentle beating with a twig or something. They will turn into dust and leave you with the goods. Trust me, where I come from we love eating this fish.
first rule.....dont expect your fletching be the stopper, tape the string to the knot. you dont need aero dynamics. it tastes that way because the vein in the back didnt break in cooking, it is directly over the spine. good job guys!
that was a pretty natural environment so there were almost no pollutents in the water, while Carp act as sponges to the chemicals it makes it slightly dangerous to eat them in other places
Im not a peta boy but why not just execute the second fish? Like it just makes sense to do that. Imo its not human to let animals bleed out like that or how tf that fish died. Good video tho. Just some constructive critice.. think it spells like that
Ok. a couple things that might make things easier the next time.... #1 bring a cooler full of ice, bleed the fish and throw that fish right in the ice and let it chill kill. No need to gut the carp. fillet the meat and use the fillet knife to skin it.
