I was going to suggest » year-round and multi-purpose and smaller: I love having my oil diffuser going right by my bed as my make-shift humidifier. Plus the bonus of using whatever oil I need to get me through cold/flu season. So if you don't like the humidifier you got on amazon, that may be an option to try. Also, I want tempeh flannel sheets!!!
@@annipoppen I actually have an oil diffuser as well and love using it but felt like it wasn't strong enough to keep things from drying up in the night with our powerful heater!
You forgot to tell people that chaiwala chai is the best drink for winter, so it´s good to have it stocked! But I don't know this because I live in Brazil and have never tried it!
I love how she actually lets him talk in the vid... I have seen MANY channels where it’s only the girl talking and vlogging... also this was super helpful
I love this video, especially Bec throwing a rug across the store, and the soup in a jar is so original, oh and I just bought a van, I can't believe I did this and I have , I have no idea where I'm gonna park it in Yorkshire but the build stars now!!
Maybe someone has already suggested this, but you can use the interlocking foam/rubber mats that you find in gyms or kid's rooms on your floor. Did that in my Scamp and it really helps hold off the cold.
The soups look so pretty, they remind me of the sand art from summer camp - did anyone else do that? when you fill up a little bottle with different layers of colored sand? Anyways, love you guys, stay warm!
Canadians flocking to the US: IRS considers a total of 6 months of being in the US over the last 2 years (rolling calendar) in regards to residency and taxes, so if you stay in the US for over 6 months over 2 consecutive years, you have a potential tax liability to report to IRS...personally IRS can kiss my ass, so the answer is to stay in the us for a max of 3 months in any 1 year and then head directly to Mexico for the remainder of the winter and THEN return to Canada for the summer. Also, for Ontario residents, OHIP expires after 6 months out of Canada and so do most vehicle insurance policies in regards to exposure of +180 days/year outside of Canada.
Finally, full time Toronto Vanlifers! Yay! Can’t wait to see more videos featuring a real Canadian winter. loved the dancing while shopping on Orfus rd. Haha 🤣 keep up the good work with these videos! Always great.
Oh my goodness, the measuring with the jacket!! We bought our couch by using my mom’s purse strap to measure the couches in the store 😂 made me belly laugh so hard! Lol!
You two kids inspire me and make me smile on days when I am feeling blue and depressed so keep up the good work and know that your videos make help others in ways you would never imagine
i have never ever EVER been so excited over a cook book. I am not vegan at all but I do enjoy vegan recipes and if i can sub it for meat or dairy then thats awesome too! I am so beyond excited!
We also did not put enough insulation in the floor. One inch rigid does not a warm floor make however we found some cheapy washable rugs from Walmart. Then we splurged and bought a Persian runner made out of wool that just fits perfectly. I know, how crazy right? My wife made me do it or at least I have to let her spend money we don’t have some of the time. In any case toes are warm and it does look kinda classy even though we are definitely NOT. Therefore a little bit goes a long way. Still holding our breaths for the e-book. Enjoy the winter. If you get too cold you can meet us in Mexico on the boat.
Can’t believe its taken this long to get a ROOTS and Hudson Bay fix in your vids! As a guy in Australia and currently 33deg Celsius flannel pjs seem bizarre but I do love them !
The 4 pack foam tiles that canadian tire/walmart etc work fabulous for insulating/softening cold floors... help you retain heat too. They come in neutral colors. Bright colors and sometimes wood look
What a great video! Bubbly beautiful Bec and fun beautiful couple. I laughed so hard when Bec threw the rug in the air. Btw, great idea of soup in a jar! Luv u guys, stay warm.
Awe...... I just love you two! This video was the (bomb) great editing! It was super entertaining, you guys make me smile everytime! I vote for a very plush fuzzy light colored rug with the boot tray on top by the door! The best of both worlds! Can't wait on the ebook, that soup idea is brilliant!!! Stay warm and cuddle lots!🤗👍💗🔥🌨☃️🔥💥✨🍵☕️🚐🌡💜💜
Awesome video as usual! You guys always make me laugh/improve my day but this video especially did. Keep the positive, light and funny vibrations throughout the winter season. We are currently at the peak of Autumn in Michigan. The tress and crisp air smell and look beautiful!
Your soup in a jar reminds me of Mitchell's Soups, based out of Vancouver Island. I don't know why I never thought to make my own and put them into jars, what a fantastic idea! Would make great Christmas gifts too! :D
Love the soup idea, the jars look so pretty, nowhere near as cute as you in your PJs Bec, though. So sweet. 'Snuggle up' season is here. So excited for your e-book, too!
An arm and a 1, 2, 3!😂😂😂😂 Loved the innovative measuring device! Also, your Canada comforter is adorable, as are your new sheets!!! Excited to see the eBook!!
I love how as Eamon is talking about tires, y'all pass a tire shop at 4:26. Also, the iPhone X has a pretty neat app called "Measure" that comes with the iphones so you don't have to use the "sleeve, 1, 2, 3" method... But hey, whatever works! Lol
I love the Canadian theme sheets! I would also add a microfleece blanket of some type- I have experienced driving through Canada in October and I know how cold and snowy it can be
Idea, get a copper radiator get a 12 volt induction coil and place a graphite rod in the center with a wire craddle to keep the graphite centered in the coil. Slip a thin Titanium sleeve over the graphite so the graphite will glow red hot and cause the Titanium to glow white hot. Then place the Titanium sleeve inside the bottom of the copper radiator. Then surround the edge of the copper radiator with Nintinol thermal electrical power generator's. Then fill copper radiator with Gallium Aluminum alloy that will absorb and conduct the heat from the inducted graphite Titanium heating element. Add in a metal toggle switch that will allow you to shut off the power supply from the Nintinol thermal electric power generator's powering the induction coil. Okay so like if you construct it correctly you should have a space heater that you plug in and power it up off a 12 volt supply then ounce it heats up and the thermal electric generator's kick on to keep the heat generation going? place copper radiator on a insulated conduit with a craddle to hold heating element the copper radiator with air vent's close to the floor to suck in air. Then place top half of insulated conduit with air vent's at the top. Heated air will rise inside the insulated conduit generating a drafting effect that will suck in cold air heat the air and heat your van. A crazy idea to heat with surprised no one has made these yet? 😊😉
Hi! Enjoying your videos! Suggestion for fitting more than 3 sweaters in van: Use packing cubes to compress the bulky items... Saw this idea in someone else's van conversion & loved it! Passing it along in case it's a good fit for you, too ;)
Ok, those sheet are fire! I'm ordering a set today! Yes, Toronto is cold at this time of year, but I will tell you Torontonians are awesome to be around. The food is clean and delicious too. Believe it or not the GTA is lower stress living. I plan to do the snow bird thing as soon as I can.
One more thing, cute flannels Bec. Eamon man, I like the hair. My hair isn’t as thick but it’s long. Your hair just looks epic. lol. Thank you both for this vlog. Stay safe.
Big fan of the flannel, even here in the south. Makes a big difference at night. I hope squarespace is payin up. Saw the rando Kia commercial in the middle of the vid.
Must have your dry soup recipes!! Haha I Iove soup, and that's so great for vanlife! I'll be living out of my van for the first time soon and really interested in easy recipes. Thanks for the tip on staying warm with reflectix on the windows!
When the first punch noise happened with the words I thought Eamon had accidentally hit Bec lol I was like what! Then I relized it was the sound effect lmao It’s starting to get cold in Ohio too and I always switch out my summer vs winter clothes I think that’s key for prepping for winter!
Ohio here also...NE Ohio! Brrrrr! I also do the clothing switch and have an ugly boot tray but better than dirty floors with puddles of the various stages of melted snow, road salt, cinders, etc.
