This is the best new era season , at first we were off to a rough start with 2 quits but WOW the blindsides have certainly made this season way better.
either the dude is really tired or very good of an actor. coz the "pause" or the "my idol" blurt was genius. he had to advert any possibility not to aim on his name.
Jake was not rubbing salt into her wounds; he genuinely didn't think he was going to survive. His reaction was my reaction when Rich Strike won the Kentucky Derby.
Jake's reaction at 2:34 was perfect "Oh people are playing Survivor". He said it best before the votes, if they all dogpile on him someone would be making the wrong move. Loved Dee and Julie's acting too, they voted Kellie but looked completely surprised when she was blindsided.
This was so painful because Kellie seemed like one of the few barriers to stopping a Reba steamroll and Jake’s speech sets up the blindside perfectly. They should’ve been more worried. There was something wrong that everyone seemed so willing to dog pile on one person, and now one of their strongest is gone. Dramatic, poetic, amazing survivor moment
Jake seems like the kind of dude you'd want to have a drink with. He genuinely had me dying with his commentary and it had to have made Kellie feel even worse lmao.
This was definitely hard to swallow because I really liked and was leaning towards Kellie. I still think she played a good game and I wish her the very best in her future. Also, I’d love to see Kellie return for a second chance because I strongly believe she had potential to do well, even if she wasn’t blindsided at this moment.
I liked her too, but I think she was just too good of player. I thought she might win and I liked her better than Dee. I like the entertainment value of both Jake and Kendra.
Major credit to Drew and Austin. They're some of the shrewdest players to play this game. The forethought to realize that if Jake ended up safe, a Reba would be targeted, and to decide to target a different threat now and save Jake for later when they had the numbers to both get him out and flush Bruce's idol--AND simultaneously vote out the second amulet holder, giving Austin ANOTHER full idol in the process--Chef's kiss. A beautiful move. Plus they've been really subtle so far. They're two of the most powerful people in the game and no one seems to realize it yet, not even the rest of Reba. I hope this move doesn't illuminate them too much.
😂😂bro Drew is gonna win this game, he's the only now making Moves fr now that Kaleb is gone. Dee could win though just bc her positioning and Relationships rn is excellent. I'm glad Finally in the preview we see them catching on
I've gotta say man, Jake's supposed slip up with "my idol" had my heart freaked out. This season makes me fall out of my chair for all these insane votes.
This will make the Blue Tribe realize that the whole time, they were just being played. They missed the chance to take down the majority alliance. Unfortunately the blue tribe were never together to begin with. I am loving this season so far. So many jaw dropping moments. Also, ironic how Austin (the guy who did not want the amulet), now has a full idol. Hahaha EDIT: Austin now has TWO IDOLS!!! INSANE!!
As much of a fan-favourite she was and how devastating it is to see her go this early, the emotion and uncertainty throughout the entire tribal council will give it a place at the TOP TIER tribals in the history of the show: Jake's SITD failure, Austin nodding to Kellie's question (deja vu to Michaela/Jay MvGX), Kendra getting more and more devastated as Kellie keeps looking at her as she realizes she's done and of course Kellie's goodbye after being hugged by everyone and her slow walk out of the scene. This is about to become a top 10 season and none of us saw it coming after that premiere.
The look on her face when they call her name for the first time was amazing. She was smiling and so secure and a few seconds later she was crying. Classic Survivor
Was anybody else getting déjà vu to the iconic Jay and Michaela tribal moment at 2:39? Very different tribal dynamics going on here, but the timing, the seating positions, the shock and circumstances of the blindside… my mind immediately flew to Millennials v Gen X. 😅 That said, I really hate to see Kellie go! I’m rooting for both her and Kaleb on a future returning players’ season. 🤞🏼
Jeff LOVE LOVE LOVES Kaleb so he should be guaranteed to be asked back, he also said Kellie played an incredible game so it’s not unlikely for her either
Quite possibly the best ep this season imo. 45 demolishes all the rest of the new era. I feel bad for Kellie but I'm glad Jake stayed also Idk how I didn't realize this right away but Austin has 2 idols cause of the amulet now😮
@@user-vv2lh2sl8h Idk if Dee is the one flipping on him first due to what they showed for the next ep but it could be a ep where the vote is between both of them assuming none of them are immune for that tribal
This was a smart move for Reba but I do think Kellie deserves a second chance and I also would've been mad at Jake after he did that after I was voted out😂
im so so sad bc Kelley I think had the potential to be an incredible player but she lasted for only a little bit... but I still was impressed about her social game and strategy (and her physical game) while she was here. I rlly wanna see her play again bc she was one of my favorites this season BUT THIS WAS AN AMAZING BLINDSIDE
Those reactions ran the whole gamut of emotion. I didn't think Caleb's 'Shot in the Dark' Council could be beat. Then Emily and Drew said - watch this!
as someone who likes both jake and kellie this was PAINFUL to watch. but even then, this might be one of the best blindsides in survivor history, up there with tyson in tocantins tbh
I actually did like Kelly, but im glad Jake is still in the game. I was genuinely shocked though, after Kaleb being voted out I thought of course Jake is going to be voted out next.
I like kellie too but i stopped liking her the moment she turned on jake like the flip of a switch,in a consensus vote whose majority is clearly reba 4
@@7n154Idk about that. He’s a super likeable guy with a good read on things. I don’t see him making it to the end, but if he does, I think he could beat almost anyone at this point
@@tmm4195but does he? I don’t know who actually respects him as a player. I think drew, Emily, Dee and maybe Austin or katurah would beat him. I do think it’s likely he would beat Kendra Julie and maybe bruce
@@gamer_ap0 I think he definitely beats Katurah and probably Drew as well. Katurah hasn’t made the connections necessary to win at this point and I just don’t think Drew has the social skills to win in a final 3. Dee, Emily, and Austin on the other hand (unless something changes) would be tough for him to beat but not impossible. I mean Jake’s playing in the underdog position right now. If you make it to the end as an underdog that already gives you some extra points. Also, he has proven he’s got balls to do risky things plus he’s a good talker. I wouldn’t count him out of possibly beating anyone if he makes it to the end
@@tmm4195 but do people like underdogs (Owen, Romeo, Heidi, Xander) the new era just isn’t backing that up, however yes he could prob beat katurah. Not drew though, I think if drew is against two belos(Jake and someone else) he guaranteed wins, if he’s against one Reba and one belo in Jake (let’s say he’s against Dee) Drew gets Emily Austin and prob Kalebs vote in my eyes, Dee gets Julie and prob Kellie. I think Jake only guaranteed gets Bruce so I don’t think Jake can beat drew
Kellie only has herself to blame. If she'd listened to Kendra and gotten rid of Bruce last week, then no one would've given her a second look this week.
Not true at all. Blindsiding Bruce and letting his idol walk out the door when he considered her his most trusted ally was not a good play. She went home because of the amulet. Drew knows how the amulet works. He and Austin have every incentive to target her at merge and for whatever reason Kelley and all of Belo sat around twiddling their thumbs and not going after Reba after merge.
@@omarholder9036 True, but without Bruce in the game, I doubt Austin goes after her this soon. She wasn't targeted for the amulet. She was targeted to weaken Bruce.
@@PintheDog that's simply not true. She was targeted because she upgrades Austin to two idols. Keep in mind that advantage was gained away from Dee and Julie. They have no idea. They know about one. They don't know about both. So the sell of she is the brains behind Bruce is just that, a sell. Drew knows that move helps him and Austin out and Emily also knows. This might look like a Reba 5 but I believe Austin, Drew and Emily are the tighter crew running the show.
Kellie was no safe vote she was a threat to win this was the only really good chance to take her out given the circumstances of Bruce not having a vote
@@esdeathisbae9480 You seem to be unaware what a safe vote is. A safe vote is someone you vote out for the purpose of playing around a potential idol play. That's why she was voted. Was her great game a reason as to why she was chosen as the safe vote? Yes. Yes it was. However, the main reason stated on the show was to vote her out in case Bruce played his idol or Jake found the idol.
Great tribal even though we lost a really likable player. Shocking she left tonight. Though they showed us SOOO many Kellie shots during the reading of the votes, we did see it coming. Hope she comes back in a returnee season! SO much potential. She should have asked Bruce to give her immunity but then again she didn't feel like she was in danger.
omfg… I’m speechless, Drew is a fucking mastermind. He’s definitely getting that Omar edit for sure, but damn, DAMN, poor Kellie, that is absolutely brutal, love Jake for pulling through
it wasn't Drew, it was Emily. She manipulated the guys by putting the fear of a "women allicance". Yeah, Drew pushed it to be Kelly, but the mastermind was Emily. Emily is playing a great game. She is manipulating people to do her dirty work and still keeps her hands clean.
@@user-s6x17t61ff bro, the girl's alliance was an actually thing, did you not notice how all the females besides the Reba and Emily went through with the Jake vote, she just told Drew about it, he realized since Belo was voting Jake, they could take Kellie out incase of a sitd, or idol
@@idkwhatsgoingon4584 lol 3 out of 5 votes that send Kelly home belonged to WOMEN. i don't think i need to say anything more. They only went along with the all women conversation bcs they knew if they acted like they don't wanna do it, it would've show their cards and how close they are with Austin and Drew. That's the game.
This honestly surprised me Honestly amazing move by drew and Emily And really smart on Drew’s part If he didn’t throw out kellies name and stuck with Jake he would’ve had more of risk of going next Tho sad kellie had to go Wish we got to see more of her
@@swedishfishoreos If Emily hadn't told Drew about the girls alliance I think he would have stuck with taking out Jake. They probably worked out the plan and then sold it to the others.
I feel like this was actually a bad move by drew. I think people were already looking at him and now it’s probably gonna be impossible for him to hide.
I'm glad Bruce won individual immunity, but WHOA! I did not expect Kellie to go out this early. I thought she would've made it to the Final 3 and finished in 2nd place behind Bruce. Dang that Austin, he never got over those sandwiches and now he has two idols, someone has to smack some sense into him and get him out next!
No one really likes Bruce. I don't think he is beating anyone at Final 3 unless other finalists piss off the jury even more than him. Kellie would've swept at FTC against Bruce.
It's not often in modern Survivor that you see someone take their vote-out this hard, which speaks to how explosive this blindside really was. Jeff said the following week it would go down as one of the all-time great Survivor blindsides, and for once, I don't think he was exaggerating.
Emily had say in it too, she implanted the idea of all women’s alliance to Drew in order to get his trust. I feel like without that information, Drew likely would’ve gone for Jake because he was against Reba previously
