Fitting end for Lex. Betrays Kelly Goldsmith in Africa for no reason, and never owns up his mistake. She becomes the first member of the jury. Comes back for All Stars, is betrayed by Boston Rob, and becomes the first member of the jury. Well deserved payback in my book.
I really liked Lex, but he was very arrogant and got what was coming to him. The way he blindsided Colby who was loyal to him, just to please Jerri, and then not just booting his friend Ethan who would have done anything to see Lex win, but to lecture him about losing with grace pissed me off. Getting rid of them was stupid and the way he treated them in the end was bad. Lex didn't view it that way cuz he was being loyal to his other friends and playing a game. Funny how when Rob did it to him it was suddenly personal.
Yeah, at the time of the show I could understand him being upset with Rob, but I recently rewatched on RU-vid Ethan being voted out, and Lex's comment really pissed me off. Losing with grace? Like you did? (However I did see an interview with Lex though where he said the 'shocked' looked on his face when Kathy wouldn't give him the necklace was pure editing, that he didn't expect her or want her to).
When Lex voted for Ethan and gave his spiel about “winning or losing with grace”, I was like... seriously?? YOU of all people are going to lecture a Survivor winner about winning and losing !? 🤦♀️ he was such a punk in All Stars!
I understand why he was mad. He legit voted out his number 1 ally then Rob backstabs him. Idk why everyone calls him a hypocrite and idk what Rob expects when you vote the guy who saved your girlfriend. This was a dumb move by Rob
@@obsidianblock3326 Rob was gonna piss off whoever he voted off. He made too many promises with too many people. He had to screw over somebody. Shii Ann was honestly the only person who wouldn't be salty, but getting rid of her first likely would have scared his other allies into thinking he was going to be loyal to Lex. Lex wasn't gonna be satisfied with anything less than final 5 and Lex was known as a challenge beast and a good strategist. At that point getting rid of Lex was the right move. His mistake was putting himself in a situation where he had to screw others over. Lex was hypocritical in the way he acted after lecturing Ethan about losing with grace. He had every right to mad, but so did Colby and Ethan. True he didn't have any deals with Ethan or Colby, but he still blindsided of them and sent his other good friend who was 100% loyal to him and lectured him out the door. In Colby and Ethans mind they were all going to the merge together.
Lex to Kelly: It's just a game. Nothing personal. Lex to Ethan: It's just a game. Nothing personal. Lex to Colby: It's just a game. Nothing personal. Rob to Lex: Just a game, man. Nothing personal. Lex: *Surprised Pikachu Face*
Robs betrayal of Lex is far worse than Lex going against the others. Lex was upfront and honest with the others while never promising them something. Rob did the opposite. The only thing he did do was tell Lex that he's breaking a promise but Lex never had to break a promise
Very hypocritical player. Gets one extra vote in Africa and starts a witch hunt to find the person. Thinks it’s Kelly Goldsmith and then treats her like crap and votes her off. Goes against his alliance on a crusade against Antisocial Frank because he was “grouchy”. In All Stars he betrayed Colby, thus isolating his friend Ethan. He then said to Ethan he was voting him out even though he said he wouldn’t. He stabbed Ethan in the back and then stabbed Jerri in the back right after that. So when Boston Rob betrays him, Lex can’t chill out about it even though he did the same thing numerous times and acted like a jerk for two seasons. Lex rant over.
Noah Fate that’s the problem with some of the early seasons, everyone was pissed at everyone. People like Shii Ann who ACTUALLY lose with grace and actually play a strategic game are the ones who deserve to return. Alicia pissed me off this season too.

*Lex’s Final Words:* “Wow. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed, but... I came into this game the wealthiest man in the world. I have an amazing wife, two beautiful sons, a loving family and the greatest group of friends a man could ever hope for. Everything above and beyond that is gravy, as far as I'm concerned. Big Tom, you get out there and give 'em hell. I'm gonna be rooting for you all the way. Love ya.”
Let me update that for you Adam. Kathy: I'll give my immunity to you tonight Lex: No, don't do that, I don't want you to Kathy: Ok, I won't give it up. Lex:😲
Lex and Chaos Kass are to date the only Survivors to be the last voted out and final jury member in their first season and the first jury member in their second.
Lex absolutely sucked. He made not one but three dumb moves by blindsiding Colby, voting out Ethan, and voting out Jerri. Lex was also a ginormous hypocrite by calling out Rob for betraying him, when he betrayed both Ethan and Jerri. So glad when he was finally voted out, he deserved it.
What I ask was the point of voting out Colby & Ethan to make Jerri happy only to then vote her out at the next opportunity? Colby and Ethan left for nothing. Lex had this one coming.
I wonder how Lex would've reacted if Jeff called him to vote first instead of Tom because we may not have seen him shake his head the second Tom was assigned to vote first.
I remember my mom hated Lex in Africa, and I don't think she especially liked him in All Stars up until this episode. Once Rob revealed that he had no intention of keeping his promise, she was very much on Team Lex. This episode was difficult for her to watch. Rob at that point was the biggest Survivor villain to date. I don't blame Lex for being mad at him. Oddly enough, when he came back for Redemption Island, I rooted for him, but it was coming from more of a place of "Just give him the money already so we don't have to see him anymore!" as at that point he was the only player to play four times. Once he won, I thought we had seen the last of him on Survivor. Boy was I wrong!
Rob should’ve won this season. This let alone was the reason why he lost. Lex is a very emotional player and hypocritical cuz he played a cutting game in the pre merge but of course he has to bring up friendships
You know my friend said he had a dream of Lex coming to him and his buddies at the aquarium with a phone in his hand. And he said who owns this phone with their homescreen of a women's ass 😂. By the way that was Cher's ass 😂😂😆.
Couldn’t stand Lex was glad he went home #1 he screwed Kathy in the previous season they were on #2 Rob played him for a fool by him actually keeping Amber around when he should have voted her out. How could he not know Rob was lying the entire time. Also Alicia & She-Ann you could tell were freezing cold during the vote. Rupert, Tom & Rob looked ok on the outside but you know they were thinking damn it’s cold.
He didn't screw Kathy because this was their only time playing together. Ethan started on Africa and Kathy started on Marquesas, so you must be thinking of Kelly Goldsmith.
This is why I love Rob. Not afraid to make moves that hurt people's feelings. Lex was a hypocrite and deserved his boot. Watching it was a glorious time.
@@samisthebest6991 I didn't have very many problems with him in Africa. Too bad he was so sour on All Stars. He really has potential and is a good player. He just needs the self awareness that other people are going to backstab him and that's just part of Survivor. If I were lucky enough to play, I would appreciate a great move if it meant blindsiding me. I love the game too much to be upset.
its not "Just a game", its a game for a million dollars... how would you feel if you put all of your trust into someone and they stab you in the back. Lex could have voted amber out and she wouldn't have won. Rob doesn't live up to his word, but he does live up to his name. He will rob you of a million dollars. I kinda wish there was an alternate universe where amber got voted out and rob would get what he deserved.
@@samburk123 It's just a game. Did Lex give two shits when he voted Kelly Goldsmith out of Survivor:Africa because he had a 'hunch' that she voted for him, and therefore he broke his alliance with her? Nope. He's a total hypocrite. He only cries when things don't go his way, but he's more than happy to make other people unhappy.
@@samburk123 it really is just a game. I hate when they cast people who don't truly love Survivor. If you truly loved it, yes, you can be upset you were voted off but you don't repeatedly have sourness towards other players for doing what the game is meant to do. Look at Stephen Fishbach in Cambodia or Rob C in All Stars. They both were absolutely blindsided, yet they took their exits with dignity and still have respect for the moves made. I love that kind of people.
@@snuffedtorch3683 I agree I love the game and I love people who respect the game but rob blinsiding lex didnt have anything to do with the game in my opinion. maybe for rob it was, but for lex it wasnt. And I understand that its a game where you have to make moves, but its not just a game inside survivor, its also a game outside of survivor too. just think if lex voted out amber, would they still have gotten engaged in the reunion? And lex has said many times that him giving rob his word was bout their friendship, not the game. But I get your point
