Her voice soars.. there is something about the way she sings- the notes she hits- that makes people cry. It’s like a taste of heaven on earth. So beautiful and inspiring.
"All my life I've always struggled to prove myself to be accepted and I'm not just the worthless person people think I am." That just made me realize how cruel people are.
I know how you feel I have been teased because of my high voice when I sing and it hurt! I stopped singing for 2 years and now I'm back.😊 if you have been made fun of ask you have to do is turn and walk away from that person and keep doing what your doing no matter what! don't listen to mean things if you don't like it!👍 good luck
Unfortunately it starts young, Just today i attended a football game and one of the 6 year old cheerleaders was cracking jokes on one of the moms taking up two seats instead of one because she was over weight..And the the poor woman heard the girl taunting her..Sad thing i must say
It's 2015, and I'm still listening to Susan Boyle because she sings so beautifully! I can never understand why people want pretty faces to go with music! Have you ever complained that Pavorotti was fat and ugly? Or Andrea Bocelli blind? Hello!?? Close your eyes and listen. Also, throw a stone if you are not sinned. Thank you and Happy New Year.
It may be 14 years ago since she first appeared but the power of the performance is as magnificent today as it was then. Amazing, Outstanding and a thorough privilege to watch!
For years now, I haven't been able to watch her initial audition without bursting into tears. Such an extraordinary performance ... and more than anything else, seeing how that crowd of haters transformed into fans in the space of a note. Just so inspiring. We are so horrible to people. It was majestic to watch someone wildly surpass all the expectations placed upon her solely for how she looks. I will continue to watch that audition from time to time and weep doing so for as long as I have left to live.
I remember feeling very sorry for Susan because before the semi she was already struggling emotionally to cope with it all. Bless her. She made it through.
Susan you touched our hearts so much that a decade later we come back 2 your beautiful and powerful voice. ❤❤❤❤Thank you for sharing this with us. It’s an honor still.
Susan Boyle has to be one of the most extraordinary women on earth. Such a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart, and an angelic voice to match. She has truly inspired me to achieve my dreams.
I stand in agreement with you; my brother-in-Christ. "To God Be the Glory!" Truly Ms Boyle has God's divine favor upon her life. Her voice is so very anointed. She is an inspiration to myself and others that it's never too late to accomplish the plans God have for our lives. May the Lord richly bless and keep you; Bro. Kirady.
her look and attitude remind me so much of my Nana. I'm so glad to have been able to hear Susan's amazing voice, and I'm so glad she was able to live this dream.
You and I both, I've bought several of her CD's and I have to say that I've not been disappointed in any of them, I love how she still acts so humble and appreciative of her surroundings. Most stars when they get famous seem to forget that without their fans they wouldn't be where they are today, but as of this time in her life even though she has made it big time, I've.never heard her being rude to any of the public, acting like she's better than anyone else. Susan has so much talent, I only wish I could sing half as good as she does.
I love Susan and I have all of her music. She'll always have a place in my heart and I'm glad Simon apologized to her, they all owed her a sincere apology.
She got nervous in the beginning and had a wobbly start but it was so lovely seeing her enjoyment of singing and the performance take over and she forget her nerves within a few seconds.
One of her goals was to perform for the Queen and she accomplished that. Amazing person that Susan Boyle. People often use the word :inspirational" to describe her and she deserves that title.
When I am down I listen to this and her first audition. She is the angel who lifts us all up. We all have worth; all children of God who loves us equally. I cry every time I see/hear her. She has a beautiful voice. It shows us that we don't have to look like Beyonce, Underwood, Swift, Paige, etc. and besides, Susan's voice is better than theirs. And we don't have to be 20. In a way, she kind of reminds me of Kate Smith, the singer who introduced a new song, God Bless America (She's on You Tube, as well) which inspired Americans all through World War II. Kate was overweight, too, but she was beautiful just as is Susan Boyle. May you keep singing for many years, Susan. We love you so for lifting us up beyond what we thought we could be!!!!
I do the EXACT same thing. There are several videos on RU-vid that I watch when I am down as well. I can watch the first audition over and over and the magic in the first five seconds of her singing transforms my mood. Wouldn't this be a miracle if this could be bottled? Her voice seems to be exactly what "in the moment" personifies.
+me andyou That is the hallmark of a true singer/entertainer. The music is such a part of her soul that it only takes a few seconds for it to take prominence over everything else . . . like nerves.
Every morning that I need a good pick-me-up I watch this video and i always cry happy tears. Susan Boyle has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. I wish her the best that life has to offer and may her voice carry on for years for all to enjoy.
I have been lucky enough to hear her sing "Live" in concert .......Spectacular voice ! No if's , no but's , just quite simply the best Female Voice I have come across in a long time .
I love Susan, she's an inspiration. She's a prime example of how our world worships superficial beauty over true character and goodness. Miley, Paris Hilton and the Kardashians are examples of spoiled, no talent and mean spiritness "beauty". Susan was a diamond in the rough and now she shines. She said in the first audition that the reason she wasn't the professional singer she wanted to be was because she was never given the chance. l love to hear her sing anytime, anywhere. And yes, every time I watch her first audition, I too, cry.
I console myself with the fact that people like Paris Hilton and the Kardashian sisters - unless they actually do something worthwhile in the interim - will be faded memories, answers to trivia questions, when they're Susan Boyle's age at the time of her audition. They have nothing going for them that isn't superficial. Seeing Kim K on the cover of some national magazine - "Kim shares her beauty secrets!" - at the store the other day really bothered me (this time) for some reason. Would you tell your 7 year old daughter the truth if she asked you how she became famous? That she made a sex tape? And no, I'm not a parent, but I do care what "role models," meaning, let's be honest, famous women, kids, in particular girls, are exposed to constantly and come to believe they should emulate. And the media is only partially to blame. Without enough clicks, downloads, subscriptions, likes, shares, and comments, the "latest thing" goes nowhere. I'm so glad that Susan got those clicks!
+leah shaw Whilst I agree with the point of your post, you become hypocritical in your argument. For instance, Miley Cyrus actually has a really good voice and has penned very successful songs, but you judge her based on HER PERSONAL CHOICE of how she wants to live life. As for the Kardashians, again, they have made their own choices and they provide content which many people do enjoy. I guess my point is that you are being just as judgemental as the attitudes that you criticise. Just because you personally have a prejudice or a dislike of certain people and their lifestyles, or are even at times perhaps a little envious of those born into privilege, it does not mean that other people feel the same way.
Her voice is legendary, a mixture of strength, calmness, passion and spirituality. It reminds me of the beautiful time in which I was not born. From Algeria.
6 years on and she STILL has her true character and tells em straight when she upset. As someone who has battled myself, Susan Boyle You are an Inspiration to me
Susan Boyle is a strong alto, and, soprano-UNIQUELY sweet voice. How terribly they treated her in her little house dress, with her strong Scottish Brogue ? She's another, of my HERONES! SHE LIVES in the same house she was born in, and doesn't' let people push her around; especially now that she's won her TITLE ! She even "arranged" to do the ending as a soprano---too. As not even the famous singers have been able to execute! She really showed them what "natural talent" really is! GREAT LADY!
Her very first performance made the hairs on my neck tingle,it was just superb..Now if i feel down, the first thing i do is listen to that performance, same feelings and just puts a smile back on my face, thank you Susan XXX
I have watch this a million times when am down and it gets me every time she is a remarkable woman may god continue with his blessings towards u U are wonderful
When Susan sings so beautifully at, 3:40 I get goosebumps! I love when Susan shouts to Pierce, "Piercy Baby!" You can tell how much Piers admires Susan and vice/versa. I was thrilled for Susan when Simon gave her a Big-Break, taking her under his wing, and made all her dreams come true! Any other big-label recording company would have taken advantage of Susan's hard-earned money! Simon did the right thing and made sure this wouldn't happen to her! Susan has the most "Amazing, Beautiful, Angelic Voice!" ❤️ XO
susan. i am from south africa you are bring tears to my eyes you are very good i just show us.. love you ps... follow one's dreams in afrikaans we say.... befok you are the best
Моя любимая певица, обожаю её и готова слушать бесконечно! Браво Сьюзан!!! Привет вам из России из маленького провинциального городка, представьте себе что вас там знают и любят.

Only someone with a Beautiful heart could sing so Beautifully..."Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks" In spite of your fame remained a truly passionate person. Due to your life circumstances, you impacted uplifted and inspired everyone that hear you, your voice speaks to so many broken hearts. Thank you Susan........
Susan Boyle does not need to be a beautiful woman to please people's tastes. She is already beautiful because she is the most amazing creation of all times that means WOMEN. Besides, she has this unique and angel like voice that not many people have and yet many people would love to have. The beauty comes from within and she has it all.
I never tire of hearing her incredible voice! What I appreciate more is her humility and kindness! That shone through with her response to Simon's apology which she truly deserved! She is so very special! ❤️
I just absolutely love Susan. I come back often to listen to these. I hope she is still enjoying success. I hope to someday be able to support her by buying her CD's and the movie The Christmas Candle, which I'm watching now just because she's in it. I adore you, Susan
What an amazing beautiful lady you are you sang and captured our hearts keep singing lovely lady we will hold you close to our hearts forever i get goosebumps when you sing and I will listen to your songs with the vision of your face in my mind 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
MediEvilFan 147 If you think that comment is cute, you should watch the documentary on her - practically every answer she gives is humble & wise but hilarious.
Susan had trouble with the opening, but she kept going, and now, when she sings that song, they play the intro from the first time she sang, and if you understand why, it is her victory song. No matter how much she fails, (like all of us), she gets right back up, and tries again, and again, and again, and again. THAT is her secret. Hey Misty, get up on stage and try to do what Susan did. Lets see how well you do, and if you screw up, will you have the guts to keep going? I bet you won't.
So happy for her!!!!! She is a beautiful person inside and out! So happy she has a wonderful life now. So sad to pick on people because because of their learning problems! I had girls pick on me growing up, it was hard, my grandpa always told me I was good for 2 things, both of them nothing. That has been years ago, it still hurts. Don't pick on people think of something good to say. Life is to short. God bless you Susan!
