I love the tips for weird mechanics, thanks for including them! Also never knew about the Alexander thing, lol. Also respect for including the fight where you died, I feel like a lot of “good players” try to pretend like no one EVER dies in normal content and you’re a scrub if you do and it’s such a toxic mentality. It’s completely normal for someone to die, even multiple times, and it’s cool to see that!
I'm glad to hear that! And yes I think it's only fair that I highlight my own mistakes if I'm going to comment on other's! 😁 It's okay to make mistakes after all!
@@CaetsuChaijiCh I think they were attempting to properly callback to the Two-headed Dragon in FF3 that is fought as a boss in the World of Darkness, since that one is also just called "Two-headed Dragon" even in Japanese.
We fought extreme ifrit and it came down to a 1vs1, Ifrit vs my friend the last surviving Tank, with Ifrit at 1.2% hp. That was funny, heart wrenching and epic all at once, but we won xD
That's the spirit! And yes today was a great mix! The challenge is knowing when guildhests are most likely to pop up so you can either avoid them, or seek them out, depending on what you prefer 😅
I feel bad for that poor sprout in Wizard Santa Extreme. It's a rough showing when mentors, who are queuing for mentor roulette, aren't staying in the roulette because they are offered a 'get out of extreme free' option. I hope they got the clear. It's a fun fight. Also, OUR HEARTS SING IN THE CHAOS!
Phew! You had me worried there for a second. I thought we weren't going to see Under the Armor this time! Oddly enough, I had a tank do the same thing just a few days ago and I'm on NA so maybe dragging the boss to the quest giver is some sort of new meta?
It just prevents the fade to black and teleport to the NPC. That said, rewards aren't really worth, and it's a bit silly that you don't get automatically rewarded at this point.
Fun fact about the Five-Headed Dragon: Getting frozen just before the knock-up goes out by stepping onto the expanding ice circle makes you dodge the knock-up, even if you are still in the aoe. This leads me to believe that the actual intended solution is to take the 2-4 second freeze, thawing out just after the blast.
9:13 The intended solution is to both get that player away from everyone *and* to jump into the ice puddles. You can see it with the WHM there. Because they were frozen, they didn't get knocked into the air. That's why, before doing that mechanic, the 5-Headed Dragon will always do the ice puddles.
@@CaetsuChaijiCh iirc, I don't think we ever did that, even when the content was relevant. It was just easier to sac the Wind Defamation target at extreme south and crowd everyone into extreme north in a coordinated group. Only one person would lose uptime that way instead of one-to-several GCDs in the "normal" way or "intended" way.
I had no idea about the judgment double stack in the Alexander duty, thank you. Will definitely be much more cautious about it, I thought it was something you had to pass to extend the timer
I feel it is a difficult choice, because based on what I've seen, the initials hardly grant much privacy (someone that wanted to find the individual very well might or could with any other information they see), and setting it to initials simultaneously "anonymises" the characters on screen causing people to feel okay to be mean because it's just a "nobody". But I appreciate the feedback but I hope you understand why I find it a difficult choice to make 🤔
10:00 this is why i don't respect mentors. 90% of them are for the stupid crown in their name or to farm guildhest for the mount and not be actually helpful. None of the Extremes below lvl70 are difficult, most of below 70 are easier than final normal trial of DT.
Dunno about that, I had more luck with Shiryu ex than Sepirot ex so I wouldn't quite agree. Beside Tsuki I would say that every ex in stormblood is easier than Sepirot (in the context of DF with echo and max item level)
