Ironically, Naruto only became Hokage by the end of the series after 99% of his own earned personal abilities was left behind. He leans on Kurama for 95% of his power, then he powered up even further by the Sage of Six Paths simply downloading Asura's power into him to have yin-yang release, be super strong without kurama, kick away shadow balls and regenerate eyes with even Naruto admitting he has no idea HOW he's doing it, its just installed into his body and mind. Yeah he still does shadow clones and rasengan's, but it it wasn't for all the extra chakra from Kurama and Asura, Naruto would still be making most of rasengan's the old 'delayed with 3 hands method. I'm okay with shonen protagoninsts mastering their inner strengths no matter how many they have because its normally a monumental task to master each one and sometimes a psychological nightmare, but with Naruto, you can only cite Sage Mode, and honestly, there's not really a reason for other shinobi to learn it so long as they got those frog sticks nearby to knock excess sage chakra out during training. Jiraiya's reveal of sage mode was basically a rush for Kishimoto to give Naruto SOMETHING to learn that was not lending it from Kurama or (eventually) Asura. And I don't think anything needs to be said about the absolutely broken levels of power the mangekyo sharigan can give, and about how the 2nd explained Uchiha's get unlimited increases of chakra from the brain the more and more deranged on 'love' they become, and if they manage to regain their sanity, they get to keep all that chakra.

Not really, it's nothing they couldn't handle, Naruto was just insistent on them staying back because of the fights they were in previously and obviously their chakras getting STOLEN. So naruto and sasuke had to team up to combat that, and obviously they had a lot more chakra to spare, so if it wasn't for the plot of Boruto saving the day, then they would had done something without a doubt.

Naruto seems to have at least partially lost his sage of six paths powers (lack of black orbs, and kcm looks more like the regular one with the exception of his eyes), and Sasuke has since lost an arm. Don't get me wrong at 100% they're still incredibly strong, just less so than when they fought Kaguya for example.

If im wrong then is there a reason as to why Naruto opts to use a regular kcm cloak instead of the one he used after he received his sage of six paths powers. As far as I have seen (granted I might have missed something) the only signs of things that he could only do with his sage of six paths powers are his eyes and his ability to fly.

its a bit of a leap to infer that their sage powers operate in the same way. Obviously Naruto still has some some of his sage powers, problem is we haven't been shown to what extent. It could operate on the sa,e basis that regular chakra transfers work. when Naruto gave everyone the stage 1 cloak in the war, it obviously ran out eventually, so we could assume that the sage chakra that Naruto got from Hagaromo also has a similar limit, where instead of completely running out, some of its abilities vanish after a given time, whilst others essentially assimilate themselves into Naruto, becoming entirely his power. The Rinnegan on the other hand is a power that doesn't have a deactivation so to speak. Even when Nagato was dying, his Rinnegan was still active, so I can only assume that once Hagaromo awakened the Rinnegan in Sasuke, it stays with him for life. This would also explain why Sasuke never got a prosthetic arm, at least from a meta perspective. Kishimoto must have already had the Idea that one of them would get weaker (either Naruto through partial loss of sage power, or Sasuke because of his arm) and so to keep them equal in terms of combat he applied the one he didn't think of in the first place as a nerf to the other so that they are still each others equals in terms of power.
