There's an interesting parallel which shows Naruto's development. The first time he tapped into Kurama's power, it was a moment of uncontrolled anger. The last time he tapped into Kurama's power, it was a moment of perfect emotional control.

This mode is perfect for Hokage Naruto, he's a sage after all. Removing unnecessary movements and superfluous thoughts during a fight, he can handle those restrictions no prob.
@Alex Its more scientific than that. Naruto and Kurama combined their chakras to make up a new power that no one has ever seen. I mean there's a reason that a high ranked Otsutsuki like Isshiki is even surprised at Naruto's new power. It's because it's a new type of chakra and power that no alien or human has ever seen before.
@Alex Very different. It's just that every single action and thought that he does costs more chakra, so the more unnecessary movements and superfluous thoughts he does, the shorter he can use it for. I guess you could say that Baryon mode would be perfect when used WITH ultra instinct. He could do it while having a full dialogue, eating ramen on the side, and drinking expired milk, but he'd also use up all the Baryon mode chakra a bit too quickly. TL;DR - Baryon mode is a pool of stuff, doing things make the pool of stuff go down faster, so he has to try to ultra instinct so that the pool doesn't go down as fast.
I love how he says: "Let me show you what true resolve is" instead of "true power" even though he drastically outclasses Isshiki here. From Naruto's perspective, that's not what it's about. It isn't about being stronger than his opponent, but doing what he must to protect the people he cares about
"C'mon otsutsuki, let me show you what true resolve is" - instant flashback to all the hard work, pain and suffering and death naruto has dealt with his entire life = goosebumps
IFKR? I rewatched the scene like 6 times, it gave me such goosebumps. That moment was what finally made him seem a cut above everyone else, a god of the gods.
Naruto when did you acquire such level of sauce bruh, my dude caught the rods like it was a walk in the park. Even sasuke had a flashback episode of being “when did Naruto get like this ???”
Naruto didn’t beat Kaguya though , there’s no way he can in any scenario , Even Naruto Jesus mode Can’t. Come to think of it, Baryon mode is like something that's tailored to suit an Uzumaki, a clan with an astonishing amount of life force. They can keep going way longer than the average person could, and Baryon mode is the perfect outlet for it: a suicide technique, guaranteeing they at least take down their opponent with them.
I like how Kurama tells him not to waste time so instead of just making the worlds biggest rasengan and ending it quickly he spends like 5 minutes doing taijutsu
The Rasengan would do absolutely nothing. Despite how good this looks it's deceptive, the extra power and the Rasengan he did throw did no real harm to Isshiki. The only reason Baryon Mode works is because of the life drain hax that happens when he touches Isshiki, even Isshiki outright states that the physical force is not a problem but that the hit itself is draining his own already limited lifespan. Any jutsus will not drain his life force, which requires physical touch but any Jutsu used does shorten Baryon Modes' duration drastically which is exactly why Kurama told him not to do any big flashy moves. Another problem is any huge jutsu bomb that takes time to form like the Massive Rasengan or a giant Rasenshuriken will be shrunk by Isshiki when he tries to form it. Even with just using hands to drain his life and not wasting chakra and draining the form Baryon Mode itself barely worked in the end as he did run out of chakra before Isshiki was dead.
@@darling.............. Isshiki doesn't use his abilities in this fight for some reason, he should've won easily. He didn't even shrink himself to avoid Naruto's hits which would've made him outlast Baryon mode
A straight up action sequence without disturbing flashbacks that remove the flow or extensive dialog. It is actually well animated, unlike the vast majority of the show.
I definitely prefer no flashbacks, or the kind of flashback style used in the fight between Kakashi and Obito. One of the best flashback sequences I've ever seen. Instead of it being long reels of memories at once, it's threaded into the present-time action via short bursts.
@@FlamingNinjaBoi True, the Kakashi vs Obito flashback/fight is probably one of the best in the whole series. Great flow, sounds, music, quick flashbacks and both characters had high stakes.
There's plenty insanely well animated episodes in this show, but the more dialogue and story building episodes definitely arent up to par most of the time. The peak moments surpass even the original Naruto series imo. Too bad Naruto "fans" arent watching this show. Its short af with 26% canon, and the canon arcs are absolutely insane
I love that for Naruto’s strongest form, rather than carrying on the golden zen-like style they combine it with his old, crimson animalistic style. The perfect combination of sage and beast.
@@a.jthomas6132 It almost makes how characters like Lee got absolutely shafted my the main character tropes. If all Naruto is doing here is punching him really hard this time, and Madara might have been killed if Guy aimed higher, I'd imagine Lee and Guy would have ended a lot of fights sooner if they also happened to be the "chosen ones".
@@normandy2501 that’s kinda why they aren’t present in the pain arc. 8 gates = guy winning . But see then kakashi and the rest of the leaf village would still be dead if that ever happened ,
@@Violent03 nerf poor guy a long time ago is point x) had to nerf his broken af Rinnegan to make him not main character. He barely uses many of the abilities shown in shippuden. That thing lets you control gravity.... to a point where you can pull a meteor out of the sky or just use gravity on people/objects to force them to or away from you with a shock wave able to level a whole city..or dead back to life xD... compare that to shrinking things.
I still think most people underestimated how absurd and humiliating this entire scenario is, to Isshiki. A human, who is from an evolutionary standpoint, basically an insect compared to an Otsutsuki, uses the power of a sentient fragment of the Otsutsuki god tree to completely obliterate an Otsutsuki... And he's literally the 3rd Otsutsuki in a row who got destroyed by these guys who basically turned this whole Otsutsuki-world-eater-technology against the Otsutsuki.
I get what you're saying, but it's not just Kurama amping him. Remember he got six paths chakra from the war (along with his six paths sage mode but that's not the point right now) from Hagoromo. Both Naruto and Sasuke's six paths passively amping their base increases everything they do and enhances their training, similar to Goku going SSG for the first time.
@@LimmeLimbo Ah yeah, and all of that is, again, something humans would not normally have if it wasn't stolen from the Otsutsuki hundreds of years ago. Literally anything any human could do to wound an Otsutsuki was a some point taken from them to begin with.
This fight was a hidden gem in Boruto. Everything about this fight gives me chills. Getting to see an Otsutsuki getting disrespected in such a handy fashion, when facing the bond of friendship Kurama and Naruto have. Into the revelation that Kurama is giving his life to keep Naruto around. The development of character for both Naruto and Kurama was finely explained in this transformation. And there's a harder selling point when you realize that unlike other shounen, this new form is not something that just unlocks. It's a powerful moment of a one-time deal. Which accelerates the emotion behind it that much further. When the story tells us that more dangerous foes lie in wait, it has such an impact that our boy Naruto still had the power to slap them around, even if it comes at a cost of this magnitude.
Yeah I wasn't talking about a literal "hidden" just that it was like... the only thing that remotely showed respect to Naruto XD The rest of the show was painfully obvious in lacking true power scaling. It was nice to see Naruto put the man in his place, even if it still wasn't quite proper. Or worse, permanent.@@SageO6PathzGON
Me and most fans recognized that Naruto at this point in his life that his Taijutsu is more akin to Wing Chun in that he's making fast but deliberate and precise strikes. In a sense following Karuma's instructions that each move made has to be a precise, and deliberate strike no wild reckless strikes.
While this episode was amazing, I felt Kurama deserved his own episode afterwards. He went through so much with Naruto. The other Tailed beasts would have felt him disappear. Hell, he provided the power that Naruto used to keep Konoha safe. The whole city would mourn him. He deserved better than a few lines of dialog.
Haven't seen the Arc. But if they did a recap episode showing past Kurama events. And Naruto like putting up a shrine/grave for him, that would've been chef's kiss.

Naruto's taijutsu became so good he can be considered a master. People always talk about his rasengan and shadow clones but his taijutsu has always been pretty good with tons of potential.
He was pretty average with taijutsu until the war ended. He started training afterwards and you can see him using more taijutsu moves in the Last shippudden movie
Naruto and Sasuke also never stopped training after Shippuden. They knew future threats would come, and they needed to be ready. He and Sai were a two man Anbu Black Ops squad hunting down rogue Shinobi who followed Madara’s way of thinking. Naruto is literally the most powerful and famous Shinobi in the world after the 4GNW, so he could have trained anywhere, with anyone, anytime he wanted to, I’m sure. When Kakashi didn’t have him running missions or teaching at the Academy.
I like how isshiki is normally really calm, but now he's being really angry, frustrated and desperate. I think his voice actor did a really good job conveying that
Because he got beaten by a human with half god/ ninetail power He never think anyone can beat him in a one on one battle Besides he gets desperate after knowing his life is quickly taking away from him

A bit sad that the best parts of Boruto is this fight with Baryon Mode, and the team-up with Sasuke against Momoshiki. People just ignore the rest of the anime like they did with naruto, except they could skip the filler on naruto but they cant on this because its weekly and they are watching it in real time Also you said that the naruto and sasuke fights are the best, but thats due to animation. Im not sure what that has to do with writing
When Naruto caught the rods at 1:35...Isshiki never throws 4 rods in the same spot. That means Naruto literally caught every rod out of the air in different spots so fast it looks like he just caught 4 in the same spot.
@@aizeniversary756 that’s your opinion and a lot of people may or may not agree with you but you can’t always expect a happy ending in every battle. It sucks to lose Kurama but if Kurama didn’t sacrifice his life, the whole world would have been doomed.
Notice that Naruto has all four of those high speed rods in one hand at the 1:36 mark. These individual rods were likely aimed at multiple vital points in different locations around his body. Yet he has all four in one hand. Which stands to reason that he caught each individual rod at such an ungodly speed that to the naked eye looks like one motion. When in actuality it was four separate motions altogether.
I wonder if Naruto trained with Lee to master taijitsu and there kurama saw him use 8 gates and decided he's gonna learn that thing So that after using the 8th gate a small amount of chakra still be inside Naruto but he will die

@@iffin3786 Defend? He literally pierced through Isshiki's flames trying to hit him with the rasengan. Isshiki is the one who is trying to suppress naruto's rasengan. Naruto can easily dodge any attack from isshiki, he had the fight under control from start up to the point when he got exhausted. Like I said before, I'm not complaining, cause it looked cool as hell, probably just a way to demonstrate his powers to isshiki.
Let's be real. Any Naruto fan would feel that this is how Naruto and Sasuke oughta have been against ANY enemy. They both oughta have just been the Gojo in the Boruto series, being just straight up invincible in battles.
RIGHT?! Jujutsu Kaisen is a good example of how you can have extremely overpowered characters together with newbies. I feel like there was potential for more scaling in Boruto. They could've started with smaller challenges while Boruto's power grew on its own and we got attached to the new characters. Instead they immediately jump to planetary level enemies with the Otsusukis. Good idea, terrible execution.
@@gebdemedici It's ultimately a case a writer lacks the ability to know how to remove uber strong characters without making up some other new even stronger character to take them out. Compared to how in JJK, Gojo has remained the strongest the entire time, and one can even believe that even a full power Sukuna wouldn't win against him. Yet Gege didn't try to make someone stronger than Gojo. Rather, he just played smart and clever tactics to remove Gojo.
@@gebdemedici well you gotta keep in mind Boruto is monthly and it’s been in the making for like 5/6 years now and it only has like 65 chapters so they need speed it up or it will just be slow and boring

There’s something awe inspiring about how efficient Naruto is with his cut down Taijutsu. No flashy movements nor any super moves. Just pure taijutsu with minimal movement for maximum effect.
@Kashif Karim I'm glad they did it cuz it's cool as heck but considering his method is to just make contact with Isshiki not actually beat him to death momentum isn't as important as accuracy, speed, and active time (the main thing taking a hit in that move). Still might as well take advantage of both the power difference and the hax tho yeah

One thing I love about boruto is that it shows Narutos experience. In shippuden his answer to everything was a jutsu like rasengan. If that didn't work he used a bigger rasengan. But older Naruto focuses his chakra on enhancing his taijutsu(the simplest most efficient use of chakra) and only using his ninjutsu when his opponent is in the best possible position to be hit by it.
