Because age has nothing to do with clearance. You can be 17, pass the very tough background check, and be handed top secret clearance. AGE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS SITUATION. He deserves what comes to him, oath breaker
How does a young Air National Guardsman have access to classified documents regarding spy operations? The problem here runs much deeper than this one individual.
Some MOS's (military occupational specialties) require security clearances. The services don't just hand them out but rather do background checks going back at least 10 years (they actually send investigators into neighborhoods and talk to acquaintances.) This breach has nothing to do with how clearances are issued but rather with how utterly treacherous this kid is to betray what he pledged to do when initially recruited. Also has nothing to do with his family nor the small community that he is from for am certain there are many vets there who would agree with what I just said. It would be like shooting your fellow comrade with the weapon he trained you to use.
Maybe this young man think he could have life, like Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard for many years sent US top secrets to Israelis and also as a hero flying to Israeli by private Jet billionaire zionist Jews shaldon Adelson, from Los Vegas and now have second honeymoon in Israel
They're useful to the devil and whoever the global elitists are. They see us as cattle; but these elitist rats have the wrong idea if they don't think they'll pay the cost in the afterlife.
Because these cases are hidden as best as possible to keep the majority at bay. Everyone is so obsessed with shows, games, and tik tok, they have no clue what is really going on.
I also smell a scapegoat here. As a USAF vet, my husband is curious as to his security clearance and how he, as a National Guard member, managed to acquire Top Secret materials that were classified at White House levels? Sounds too pat to both of us. I think we need to dig deeper here beyond just superficial and not just accept this at face value.
security clearances are security clearances. there are tiers to security clearances and easy to obtain documents arent really top secret nor classified. classified and top secret arent the same thing.
Oh 100% this poor kid is the patsy they want you to believe a weekend warrior has access to that kinda Intel they really think people are stupid and the problem is most people are and they will believe this propaganda
@@bjbj3853 Not really sure what you're referring to. If you're trying to say trump had documents in his closet or desk you're mistaken. He had documents in a locked room that was protected by secret service, in a locked safe. All of which the FBI broke into to receive the documents.
@@bjbj3853 ... Difference is Trump actually had the AUTHORITY to possess the documents he had, he had "Declassified" them, which he legally was allowed to do. Biden DID NOT have that "authority". Right?
My dad worked for the DOD, writing contracts among many other duties, for nearly 20yrs and only reached a GS12. Now way in hell some kid in the Air Force had access to highly classified material without someone much higher up giving it to him.
Here's the thing, someone did give him clearance when he was screened to be allowed so theoretically, yes he could have gotten the info by himself after being granted a top secret clearance or a TS. They don't just hand these out like candy, you get investigated before you are allowed that kind of access
Not true at all, Its heavily dependent on what your job is..If he was smart enough to get a job requiring a top secret security clearance he could've gotten his hands on the documents. Civilians working for the DOD and military members aren't exactly treated the same. A low ranking GS member may not have access but I was doing things and had access to spaces my own CO couldn't go in without an escort (until he got his clearance and was read into the project of course). This kid just had the fortune (or misfortune) to be apart of something that required him to be read into and have access to this specific stuff.
Isn’t it amazing when a politician shares top secret info, his wallet gets bulkier. A regular guy is made an example of. Wonder if Ol’ Snowden heard about this yet.
You really think that ? Are you really that naive to think the investigation will stop here ? Come on, grow up a little bit faster, please, and don't be such an embarrassement....

When I was in the military I held a TS/SCI (Top Secret, Sensitive compartmental information) clearance, you are briefed before the clearance is issued on the consequences if you disclose any information gathered to anyone. How did this individual get his hands on High level Pentagon information without setting off alarm bells is beyond me.

Of course he can get a fair trial. Does the concept of going to jury duty with an open mind and blank slate mean nothing to you? I could be a fair juror and so could many people.
He won’t be facing a regular Jury. Since he’s in the National Guard he’ll most likely face a Court Martial for Treason. Which is most likely could end with Life or Firing Squad.

Top secret security clearance because he worked in IT. I feel like you should have to be at least 25 for that level of clearance. Scary thing is I heard that there are 5,000 people in this country with that level of security clearance. That sounds like way too many for some reason

Even with top secret clearance, a member has to have a "need to know" related to what they're doing in order to gain access to such information. For example you can have top secret clearance in order to work with encryption equipment like identify friend or foe in aircrafts, but they don't have the "need to know" for information like what's mentioned in the video. No way this kid casually gained this info.

They're not all that interesting unless really want to know about some of the battle stats coming out of Ukraine many of which were already publicly know.
Much ado about nothing. It doesn't contain shocking things at all. Western special forces are there. So what, the opposite would have been surprising. There are only 90 of them, not exactly a number that will change the outcome of the war significantly. They'll be there for training purposes mainly: training Ukrainians, but also training themselves. But they won't be at places with a high risk of being caught and end up like Gary Powers. The US is eavesdropping on its allies: so what ? Nothing new since Echelon, and the Israeli's are doing the same in the US. Etc etc. So WHAT part of the "revelations" we're talking about is really really embarrassing ? You can't fill a coffeespoon with it, at least not with what has been made public yet. No minister will have to leave his or her office, no generals will end up in court, no leader will refuse to shake hands with a former allied leader.
I haven't heard yet whether this former airman had legitimate access to these documents in the first place. I'm actually curious. I know it's possible for a junior enlisted to require this type of access in performance of their duties but was this the case or are we looking at failures at multiple levels?
Sorta like night guard this guy was probably doing the right thing and they want to blame him for something and get locked up so he wont open hes mouth
Having served in the USAF, a young person can have access to TOP SECRET documents if their AFSC (their specific job), requires it. Of course, a thorough background check is conducted before such a clearance is given. TRANSMITTING such information without official authorization is a serious crime- TREASON. The question is, "WHO" solicited the information??
I understand everyone’s concern over “how the hell did this air guardsman have this info?”. But is this the real question… I really want to know if the info he leaked was true and, if so, how the hell are those in charge of the war still in charge of the war. How’re the politicians that allowed these things to happen and have apparently hid them still allowed to be free. There are some damning issues at play here…
@@aeonsbeyond if it’s President Trump, good. President Biden then also good. I don’t care. I’m a bit black and white about this. I want to hear what that young man has to say about this not what the government tells us he has to say! And I really don't want to hear another word about it until I hear his side.
I’m guessing your saying all this not to make a rational opinion but an opportunity to be more divisive and make it political? Sounds fishy and if he got his hands on some documents, why would he share on this called what was so interesting about those documents that he thinks someone from discord would want to know instead of talking about online gaming?!
Let's take a look at the actual documents. Why should we be upset at transparency? The news you receive, versus what's actually going on globally, are far apart.
The military is really bad when it comes to security clearances. I was a Seabee in the early 70's (electrician) with a secret clearance. Go figure that. There I am wiring buildings with a secret clearance. Totally mystifying to me.
Apparently it was documents on Ukrainian assets and the U.S. spying on allies. Neither are really all that important to the average person, and not anywhere near Snowden levels of important as far as I'm aware
For now, people like this "military" will perceive the war in Ukraine as a computer game, and not a real part of life. The world is in danger. Life does not give replay as it is in games. Old people will die, and the safety of the world will pass into the hands of a generation of gamers. This scares me a lot.
