Even if it takes some time, looking forward to the next one! Hope you heal up quick Shane, sending good vibes. Still buzzin about those Air Supply jumps, I haven't hit them yet but are on my list! You got Unlimited Bread sticks, that whale tale was the trickiest bit. Take care, looking forward to the next one.
Wow... thanks for sharing how you work through a new fork. Sorry to hear about your injury. Bummer for sure. I was out at Jarrod's today. Trying some new things on my bike. I was thinking of making a fork change...but I don't know now. 😳
I'm glad you're mostly alright. I pray you have a speedy recovery and look forward to running into you on the trails again. I was up to Windrock yesterday getting in a few laps since my accident 6 weeks ago. The trails feel more raw after the flooding as they work them back into service.
That sucks that you broke your wrist. Speedy recovery man! I plan on being in Birmingham this Saturday. Man they completely changed the bottom section since March of this year. Windrock ain't no joke, my right shoulder is still tender from going over the bars in the mud that Saturday in March. How long did the Dr. say you would be out of the game?
I've broken a lot of bones in my life and I usually take it easy for a while and then let pain be my guide. When I went for x rays they told me nothing was broken and sent me home, then called me back later that evening to tell me they found a small fracture in one of the wrist bones. I'll be ok, I just don't need to fall on it for a while. My hand is what really bothered me. It swoll up very large and was completely bruised. That has finally gone down and is feeling better now.
ouch! but at least you got some good riding before your bike (and that root) sabotaged you. you made Windrock look approachable...well, all things considered.
Thanks! Windrock is approachable, but I think it helps to go with the right people and work your way into the trails. It's not a typical bike park where everything is manicured and perfect. I'm a better rider every time I leave there.
