The rolling hills of Central California in pursuit of monster wild boar is an exciting adventure A Hunter's Quest is fortunate to share. The first evening got off to a fast start, after looking over some amazing country, we explored a corner of the vast cattle ranch where our guide had seen some boar several days before. The wind was working against us as we ran into a group of wild boars in a steep canyon. As they went into a thick brush patch, we were able to set up and wait for our chance. The group of 10 hogs came out in a hurry heading up the hill with a giant boar in the back. With no time to lose, I took a rapid strike that slowed down the massive beast but he kept moving. Several more were needed as he was going up the hill to anchor him. The big boar rolled down the hill and as I approached the fallen giant, it was obvious that we had just taken a wild boar pushing 400 pounds. What truly makes this an epic video is an opportunity to share taking another giant pig on the same adventure. We are excited to share this amazing adventure after two exceptional wild boars at A Hunter's Quest.
The future of wild animals across the globe is dependent on our ability to sustain their constantly shrinking habitat. So the question remains. How does this help sustain and preserve the wildlands? It’s very simple, the local communities depend on the revenue generated from sportsmen. They also greatly benefit from the meat harvested during the safaris that take place on their land. Because of this, the game is protected and the habitat preserved.
In this video, we highlight how sustainable hunting makes a positive impact on the game, the wild lands, and local communities. Amazing people, unforgettable views, and an epic journey lie ahead.
