Because i didn't want to go too far straight away. My brother however started on a Kawasaki z1000sx 2016. We're both still alive, how? Using your brain, drive defensively. Don't go crazy with heavy traffic. Don't take sharp corners when the weather is shit. It's pretty simple math really. You drive like a idiot you die like an idiot.

I started on a 500, then jumped to a 1290, although never having started on anything but a bicycle. Some are impressed, but even more impressive is to start on a monster like this bike.
This is a single biggest reaction mismatch I have seen online so far. What an amazing, skilled and courageous driver versus unimpressed departure of others when he gets stuck in deep snow.
Awesome video and awesome bike but the only downside is it's weight and it's characteristics which make it more suitable road use but it seems to preform very well 👍

I was actually really thinking of converting my 98 FZS 600 into enduro bike for daily use - relatively good weight, low center of mass, good engine (I am ok with V4 in offraod) and very reliable. But I ended up not doing it because of triangle seat-knees-pegs. Pegs are too close to seat, you can't fully stand and overall position is just a street bike, not enduro. Its sad, I know it would be lot of fun just like this GSX-R but in a long run I think it would be more about destroying the bike than enhancing it :D And also MOT test with different wheels... :(
