Good to see a fellow Aussie reviewing these amazing bikes! Ive got a 2010 as well, great bike. Only K&N airnfilter and Mussari slipon but sounds and runs great. These big things handle well, are comfortable, decent on fuel and are fast enough for 95% of roads and riders, the true 'do all' of motorcycles. Keep on spreading the good word mate!
To everyone skimming RU-vid videos on 1250 Bandits, this is it - this is what your Bandit was meant to sound like and the power it was meant to have. How do you get your bike there? Go to Dale Walker's Holeshot site and follow ALL his instructions for Stage 2 Tuning. Do not quit or go cheap or stop at stage 1. You must correct the whole air flow path from air filter to exhaust tip and then add the ecu corrections. Open up air box filter cover, K&N filter, remove secondary butterfly valves (ecu controls these and choke the motor into over lean for emissions), replace factory headers ( don't be fooled by outward look, they are only 1 inch inside), get rid of cat, replace muffler with one you can see through, leave out "dB Reducer Tip" that comes with muffler.
@@MrJayjay0420 Probably a valid point. Perhaps at the time Dale developed his mod kit he was keeping the work required to mechanical parts and piggyback ECU module. ECU flash would be a plus because removing the 2nd butterflies was the hardest part of the mod. Unless the deactivated butterflies add some turbulance to the air flow?
@RHAD-sy3oi I think originally Dale did not have access to the ecu in the early stages. With a software program like Woolich, one can command the secondary butterflies open. Doesn't necessarily need to be 100% open, either. Just open enough for maximum velocity and efficiency. I made the mistake of removing secondary butterflies on my 09 zx14, when it could have just been commanded.
Yeah but who's going to ecu flash it for you? and have it work as good as his?..nobody around here I'd trust anywhere near to him(.Niagara region Ontario Canada)..and then you have you to let whoever throw your trusty (maybe trusty OLD stead) and pay to have them pound this piss out of it on a dyno?..screw that
I love the bandit i got the bandit 400 for my first bike about to upgrade to the bandit1200. Cant wait there really comfortable bikes there like the perfect sleeper bikes. The 1200 gonna be so much fun.
Sounds deep and powerful. A great machine. It would be great if Suzuki would start making a similar model to this one in the future. Got my like. Drop by bro, you may like my content. Cheers.
Have the same bike... 2016 1250fa.... Juat a leovince slip on in terms of mods but i happy with that, im a new rider so dont feel the need for anything more.
But how is it stock? I know where I can get 1 with bags. For a great price...im a really big guy both height and weight so I need a powerful bike. I would prolly put an after market pipe on it . But that's really all..oh and take off all the bags... Cheers
Hi pal im thinking buying a bandit, had 2 gen1 fazer1000 and hear the torque delivery it better, what mods can be done apart from remap, air box mod and exhaust, what is the Extractor mod you mentioned?
Like it ver much, please what exactly changes you made..i have same bike and i put only leo vince exhaust (not full system) and it bangs when i pull of throtle…maybe have to change ecu datas…
So as far is I know it's got a Yoshi full system and it's had a holesshot kit installed which I'm pretty sure is just an ecu that's flashed for more power
