Rode my 17 DR 650 on a 2000 mile trip all through the northwest USA. This road and mountains reminds me of Highway 93 South on the eastern side of Idaho. No yuppies in Audis trying to mess with ya, just Freedom and fresh air. No gestapo and a-holes ruining the experience. Enjoy it while you can . The future looks interesting.
Right on man, thats awesome. I will, and the future is certainly is interesting. Let's keep exploring, there's plenty roads to discover from coast to coast, for probably a lifetime I hope.

the beauty of this, is not just the bike, its the cinematographic direction, the look of the rider, and the joy it reflects the way he rides... but applies to any rider in real life if you see it that way, only that little people know how to reflect this in a video...
Excellent work all around! The camera work, sound mixing, and musical scoring is all done flawlessly. I love the DR650, love the California desert and that song is just amazing, watched it many times and will watch it many more. The more I watch it the more I appreciate the work gone into that. It really evokes a strong emotional response. Seriously, congrats!

It was all very intentional in the film production, we wanted to amplify the feeling of riding out there in the desert and capture that state of mind. so I think the location, music, cinematography, and all the details in between played into that. My brother is in the Navy (Sweden), and when his unit was doing a joint exercise with the German military he saw some Suzuki and Honda dirt bikes used by the German military, in camo paint job, he took pictures and showed me, they look really great
I moved across the country from Washington to Florida and sold my DR650 three years ago. I just bought her back From my buyer who’s in Pittsburgh the DR will be back with me again soon I’m excited and I had a lot of off-road memories with her
The song by Link Wray - Fire and Brimstone was just plain damn brilliant as it seemed to help you weave like a wayward bullet through the ochre colored desert brush.

I got my first DR when i was 17. It was a yellow 500. Nowadays i got one in the US and one in South Africa. Seeing this video make me want to go out and ride.

@@modshiftmotion I don't know, sometimes it felt too big, especially when you're 40 miles deep in Death Valley and the trail is just a suggesting and a steep hill. But the torque and ability to go 70 mph all day was nice. I had to lighten my load so I put my Sportster and DR up for sale, the DR sold first so the Sporty stayed.
What a truly fabulous film you captured the freedom and sound of the bike and great music not a bike rider myself but it must make every biker want to get straight on and ride brilliant 👍😊

@@marshallmaia8130 hahahha I was the same way until a good buddy of mine(legit master mechanic) sold me on it. I was about to pull the trigger on a Royal Enfield Himalayan....end! Now I'm getting the DR. Bulletproof and proven engine that won't quit. You can read about it all day with minimal complaints besides personal touches. It's exactly that, a blank canvas for you to build Your perfect machine. I'm sold on the DR man. I'll somehow send you a video of my bike when I get it in my garage on Wednesday. I cant fucking sleep. lol 9 year old on Xmas Eve man
