I heard that Yamaha FZ V3 is kind of underpowered, I'm currently using Bajaj XCD 135, I like everything about Yamaha but I have doubt about power. Is it sufficient for highways and pickup is good? I generally need better performance in 0-90 only. Please tell me will it be a good choice?
Will go fir FZ as the rear seat is much more usable. Once the honeymoon period with new bike gets over its is the practicalities that take over everything else.
@@RaxitD31 no bruh.. The split seat layout is for the 200 4v. I was talking about 160 4v which has a single seat and offers much more comfort for the pillion.
but fz is more comfortable nd engine refinement is nice compare to Suzuki..Suzuki offer performance but fz offer comfortable pillion Seat is easy to accessible...so fz is best

Pin Point Comparison Sir 👏 👏 For me, Look wise FZ looks more attractive than Gixxer, Gixxer looks a bit overdone in terms of design ( Specially the Tank cowl and Headlight ) Performance and feature wise Gixxer definitely better

No bike can be 100% perfect for every one. Its case of one's personal outlook. Some like more power output, some would go with looks. So finally very good comparison Dino as usual.. I would personally recommend fzv3.

Even supermodel wouldn't like to sit on that pillion after a while after all its a fuckin Gixxer its not like big gixxer. Why do we need drama for a 150 cc bike for everyday use. Nothings beats comfort after a month or two.
despite having less power low torque and high price the fz managed to beat the gixxer in sales chart since it was first launched. Gixxer is fun to ride but will choose Yamaha any day over suzuki.
Conclusion... if you are student (mostly students will buy these motorcycles) and lives with family then go for Yamaha Fz but if you live alone out station then go for Suzuki gixxer.... means if you lives alone it means only supermodel will sit as a Pilian but if you lives with family then your mother will sure gonna sit....
I own a FZs and just to Correct You Dino. We have a Digital Clock in the FZS V3 and 2 trip Meters and one FTrip meter which turns on and calculates as an when your Bike starts on the Reserve fuel.
FZ's pillion seat comfort will gain the market , Suzuki still need to learn indian market , Suzuki 250 is a great bike but it is sharing same design with 150, so it's reduce its brand value
Yamaha really knows what Indians would actually look for when buying new bike.. obiviously the look comes first.. fz looks so menacing though it has less power than Gixxer, and Gixxer doesn't look as good as fz though it performs better than fz.. 90% of buyers in India doesn't care or know about performance figures but they go with what they hear about any particular bike.. Yamaha did wonderful job by introducing fz in Indian market with macho styling and it deserves a huge respect for their design and approch.. and with the styling of fz v.3 yet again they've proved their dominance... Respect...
I went to buy Fzs because of Yamaha and I was planning to buy from a long time because of its muscular looks and I love Yamaha bikes because my friend still owns an old version of Fzs. But when I took test drive 1st time, I was shocked. There is no power. Seems like you can't even overtake a 125cc bike. Even my old bike discover 135 was better than Fzs. I thought may be because of 1st time I felt like this so I went again for Fzs test drive and this time for a little longer period. I tried alone and with pillion too, and the results are still same and with the pillion it was even worse. Then I took test drive of gixxer and booked on the spot. Atleast gixxer made me feel that I am riding a bike. Now 2 weeks has been passed and I am happy with my gixxer.
@@sounakmallik4725 i'm honda hornet owner, my short list before buying was Gixxer and Apache 200 4V. i test driven a Gixxer and i instantly loved it, but the worst service of Suzuki (kerala,Trivandrum) hold me back
@@rayan8847 well buddy, don't act like you know everything....I'm a ex owner of kawasaki 4s champion ,discover 125, FZ bs4, pulsar 135, CBZ (2006) and currently own v3..so I think im more qualified about bikes then u..also I have been ridind from past 16 years...by saying boring I didn't mean its bad...FZ is good but there are lot of better & sensible options are there..I ridden my cousin's gixxer(old) 436km up& down...I still can say it's the best 150cc without even owning it👍👍👍

@@adithyavk1764 Yes, but to display the clock you have to press the button. It cycles the display of clock, trip meter and odometer. That means you cannot see the clock and odometer at the same time.
Personally I don't care the small engine performance difference. So, I choose the FZi here because of his masculine appearance, ergonomics, and great riding comfort.
Suzuki Gixxer is a successful product for the brand Suzuki but its no where close to Yamaha FZ's dominance in the Indian 150-160 street fighter segment....

There is no doubt that both these bikes are good but Apache 160 4v is in a different league for this same price. It has a performance at another level. Plus its single seat is also plush with superb build quality overall.

I'm just happy that Suzuki didn't go for something like fake air intakes or useless hump of plastics between your legs. They kept it simple yet classy as they always do. Although reducing engine power seems counter intuitive to me
Even the older carburetted Gixxer can outclass the newer Yamaha fz 3.0 in terms of features, mileage and performance, but it's only disadvantages is the short rear pillion seat.
@@SuperImbadude Yamaha bikes are known for their poor mileage. A fuel injected Yamaha fz can get you only from 40 to 45 kmpl, but a carburetted Gixxer can get you a mileage from 45 to 50 kmpl
Fz-s looks fabulous. Far better looking than any other 150cc in the segment. And if you are more of a city user you'd love the comfort this bike provides. The best butter smooth gear box of Yamaha and excellent refinement. Of course you can't cruise above 100kmph in highways with it. Comfortable cruising speed would be 80 to 95. If you are OK with the power factor then you get a stylish,pillion friendly and refined machine
Bought yesterday fzs fi 3.0...after so much review between hornet, xblade, apache I select fz.. Pricewise bit high.. But you will satisfied for sure...
In my opinion Hornet with taller gearing, Good seat, petal discs, adequate torque, better mileage, kick starter makes it a better deal than overpriced FZ and Gixxer. But Honda has to change its Speedo, Engine kill switch, pathetic quality switch gear, oil indicator guage, pathetic welding points with rusting. If Honda addresses these pathetic flaws, it will make a complete package and will blow away the competition. (barring Apache and Pulsar 160 NS). But in my frank opinion, Honda people are nothing but blood sucking lice and throw garbage at us Indians and they feel that feel that we are Fools. Actually we are really fools buying them. If every prospective buyer comes to Honda showroom and pin point the flaws and leave the showroom without buying the vehicle expressing their disappointment, then those Honda assholea will come to India running from Japan and touch our feet and beg us to buy their vehicles. But it will not happen. We buy because its a Honda.
As a hornet owner for 2.5 years i 100% agree with you....and the ride quality is horrible too,i have to make less than 20kmph to go through speedbreakers or else i'll bounce
I agree.. But i didnt face any rusting issues.. And in 2018 model they improved the switch gear quality instead of giving killswitch they gave hazard lights..
@@arjunharsh Here in Hyderabad almost everywhere in showrooms even brand new Hornets have bad welding points with minor rust starting at T cone sets, foot pegs and some points. I have inspected in every showroom. The story is the same. I am amazed that even normal Pulsar 150 have smooth finishes everywhere and have better paint quality throughout the chassis.
@@midhungopan9270 Hondas mono suspension is somewhat stiff but Fz and Gixxer are worst. Your back will break in the long run if you reside in rural or potholes area. Pulsar 160 NS is much better and even Apache 160 4V is good in that aspect
