This video starts with bad news for the kawasaki zl600 however that may or may not be resolved next week. On other news one of the gs500s is up and running and I've even had time to give it a slight streetfighter look.
motorcycle rescuer: absolutely I’d be up for that even if I just come and give you a hand for a day with one of your many projects. Im probs about 40 mins from you as I’m in Reading anyway.
Hi, it's a fairly complex fuel line set up but basically it's because it's using one as the normal and one as a low fuel back up. So technically you only need to use 1 set up but I can't remember if these bikes have a fuel gauge.
Silly question perhaps but coild it be the coil leads that are faulty giving varied results, was just a thought given the ones supplied were too short?
Hi Stuart, the week before I played around and swapped the leads and the same 2 cylinders weren't getting good or any spark. This weekend the new coils brought back cylinder 2 so I should have ordered 2 coils to start with. I've ordered the second now and will throw it on next weekend. Fingers crossed it runs on 4 cylinders finally.
@@stuartmcintosh9932 Yeh I changed leads and spark plugs just incase, the same cylinders weren't firing. I think they have been intermittently working which can happen when they are on there way out. I'm a it sick of the kawasaki now lol but it's worth continuing as it could be a great bike and worth a fair amount.
Hi Daan, any single bolt riser set will work. If it has a single bolt going down then it works. I got mine from ebay. Very easy to do and makes the bike look and feel so much better. Thanks for watching and please subscribe
Hi, I bought them from ebay. I get most of my parts from ebay u less they are specialists like bmw or something. What's the condition like? I've still got some parts so could probably help you out
Hi buddy, are you a fellow kayaker? So these yokes are designed to have hi riser clip ons, if I remember rightly you have 2 caps on your bars covering a hole or 2 holes ready for simple bolt on. I believe it's a single bolt so you would have to order any single bolt riser from eBay. Make sure you tighten it fully and ideally use a nylon locking nut. Hope this helps. @@motorcyclerescuer I do have another question for you? On the left hand carb, there is a vacuum pipe which goes to the frame petcock, what is attached to the RH carb, in the same place? Is it sealed off or open. Mine is open. Many thanks again. 😁
@@cliffmelhuish lucky enough I have the answer. One is a vacuum and one needs to be sealed off. Mske sure on the vacuum one that its sealed tight and has no splits. If you haven't got the little cap for the other side you can put a piece of pipe on and block it with a bolt or something. It has to be fully sealed or the bike won't run properly. Hope this helps
@@franklarkins1389 no sorry mate I've not got one, I did have one but it sold on ebay. I'm sure there are a few on eBay at the moment so worth having a look. Thanks
