Rolls royce of hoses in my opinion. When i did my HEL upgrade i talked to the local distributor and got them to send me the upper banjo bolt with the bleed nipple on it. Transformed the speed for bleeding at the top of the system quickly and easily.
@Moonfleet41
@Moonfleet41 Год назад
Sure thing buddy, I've used those, what a fantastic idea considering air travels upwards in a fluid system so why not put the bleed valve at the top!

noice!!! Especially the Mechanics tip.. bit... liking it. Lurve the funnel. I need to get one, the next time I see it. Saw loads at the Classic bike show at Stafford show ground a few weeks back. Wednesday 24/5/2026 and 40 days to go! Announced on faceache the Charity I'm going to try and raise some cash for. That goes live end of june.

helped a lot much longer bite point now…maybe i also should clean clutch slave zylinder!? Still i have a singing and a low noise beginning at 2rpm. The singing noise could be out of gear box or valve clearance and the low noise I localized from clutch area…maybe the problem with rivated clutch basked, don’t know…i hope maybe one day you‘ll make a clutch too here…❤

I've never done this so I reckon I'd have to take heaps of pics and also tie a string to the top end when I pull the old cable out, tie it to the new cable not so much to pull it through but to be extra sure it's routed properly.

Really miss my bandit 12, the only bike I have ever owned that had this type of clutch. It seems that once a year I have the expense of a new clutch cable, they fray for a past-time. Now, the best in my humble opinion is the wing with hydraulic tappers as well as the clutch. Good stuff, Del, and talking of good is your channel! All the best, mate.

2:25 - Well, if Patrick Stewart can slurp his Yorkshire tea before heading to the Dog & Duck (where there's a tab behind the bar), Penny can certainly slurp her clutch fluids! What a shot, what editing. wot a slurp! With that, & those well-behaved banjo washers, 'that-know-their-place', there's either some Hogwarts going on or just lots & lots of patience. Of course, I suspect it's a seamless blend of both, & we just miss all that waiting : )xx

RIP to those engine guard stickers. And may I say how much more glorious the bike looks now with those unhindered black lines. If I may. The timber you use as a lifting anchor on top of the steel beams. Screw pieces of timber about 300-400mm long at the bottom of the timber (in between the steel beams) to allow to slide back and forth, and not let the timber slip left or right off the steel beams and fall onto whichever bike you’re working on, or even your brain cap.

Love to quiz the engineers who decided it was a good idea to have 2 different thread banjo bolts on either end of the same line. 🤨Parts bin engineering or they really do just want to make mechanic's lives more difficult. Great job pointing that out Del as most of us would have at least a 50% chance of screwing that up. 😁 Many thanks Del and Penny. Ride safe and be well my friends. ❤👍👍
@Moonfleet41
@Moonfleet41 Год назад
I think you surmise right there Rick.. "Parts bin construction", use existing components without considering the finer compatibilities...and yes of course engineers hate mechanics, just work on any modern car and that's clear...lol! Have a great week and keep safe buddy.. D&Pxx

The only other place the fluid can go is through the slave cylinder internal seal.. you can buy a seal kit and it's pretty easy to rebuild them.!

Any tips on getting a really tight banjo bolt out of the master cylinder? I am afraid of breaking it, it`s pretty darn tight! I appreciate any help!
@Moonfleet41
@Moonfleet41 Год назад
With the reservoir empty, and the other end of the hose undone to relieve any pressure.... gently warm up the master cylinder with a hair drier until it's hot to the touch, but not so hot you can't touch it.. remember there's rubber parts in there ! .. that will expand the alluminium casting away from the steel bolt slightly, hopefully enough to loosen it's grip.. then have a try as cracking it loose.. Good luck with it mate.. hope it goes ok !
