No problem at all, the system is using heat to make the connection of the central differential even stronger. It's s viscous coupling system, not a clutch plates system. The system with clutch plates ovearheat.
@@luisf8480 the AWD system is fail proof, but keep in mind that my Ignis is lifted 40 mm and I have a metallic skidplate under the engine & gearbox. Safe travels! :)
Looks beautiful! (Still thinking whether I should raise the suspension on mine?) Your videos remind me of the adventures I had nearly 60 years ago with my LandRover all over Europe and Asia... Love my Ignis and your videos! (If you want to watch it... just fast-forward through the dull bits... this is dash-cam footage of myself, my wife, and totally asleep dog, crossing Dartmoor during what was called 'the Beast from the East II in 2018 in our Jimny. We were the only vehicle that night to make it the whole way. As you can see, at times it was impossible to see more than 1 metre (Look at 53:00)! Don't be concerned, because it's a different system that locks itself as soon as it detects slip. And compared to a system with "lock" feature that uses a clutch pack for the central differential, Ignis has a viscous coupling for the central differential. It doesn't "overheat", it actually uses heat to make the connection even stronger. Plus it has a good electronics pack that almost mimics a locker for both axles.
