@adolfshitler totally agree. When standard, they're awful. No brakes, not great around corners and actually not that lively. It did find it fun but unimpressed. This one is a lot of fun now, so much more power and I'm 30 years older, so maybe it just feels quicker 😉

@@RG500_detectorist I had a GPZ900 at the time and it would seriously muller my mates rg500 every time! I'm a stroker fan, but their day has come and gone, unfortunately!

@@adolfshitler All in the rider, as they say. My mate had a CBR900RR and the RG would muller that on the twisties. I'll take it, you were just a more skilled rider. 😉 GPZ900? The dream bike as a teenager. Sure there is a lot of new stuff out there that is impressive and a lot cheaper but I decided to invest in the old girl. Might spoil myself down the line with a Panigale, as some point but we'll see. All good fun. What would be your go to bike, no expense spared?

Thanks for watching. I hope you enjoyed a snippet of fun. A bit of an unfair comparison, just found it fun, that you can see that one guy giving it handfuls of throttle 😁 All smoke and no go!! I believe the GT750 was around 60bhp, so nearly half that of the RG that I own at 108 bhp. 250 kg (550 LBS) vs 175 kg (386 lbs), so just demonstrates the progress from the production bikes of the '70s to the '80s.

D'accord, la RG a commencé en premier, mais on peut voir d'après la fumée et l'action du poignet droit du pilote qu'elle essayait très fort de rattraper, mais sans aucune chance. Ce qui n'est pas surprenant. La GT750 avait 67 bhp, cette RG en a 110.
