That is the best harmonica ever. I love my Suzuki scx. I have buy me yet the Seydel Symphonie. It's great to, but the Suzuki is my absolulty favorite. Sorry, my english is not so good, I hope you can read what I write. A very good video. 👌👌👍👍👍😊

Bought this harmonica along with the Swan 1664. Chromatix sure is so airtight compared to the swan 1664. Now I cant wait to mod that Swan 1664.Thx for the tutorial btw.

this is a questionable customization, perhaps 200 or 400, I can't say I was fully happy with the look.

That is a Bulletini microphone from blowsmeaway.com with a wireless transmitter attached, allowing use of the mic without a cord.

Hi David, I open the all parts of Suzuku Chromatica SCX64, and found there's no back plate under slider ( which is beneath the moth piece. That means the slider is directly on top of the black plastic comb, is this right?

Correct, that is stock design

Hi, would you say SCX 48 is easier to play than 64? I'm an amateur and have played on a Swan 12 holes (not chromatic)for years, as a hobby. Thanks!

Both about the same, 14 a bit smaller to the hands

How does the Suzuki SCX 64 tone compare to the Hohner Super 64 (2018-picked up at SPAH), the CX12 Jazz and the Seydel Deluxe Steel? I’m looking for a dark tone 16-hole backup/practice harp and like the Super 64 tone. The Deluxe Steel is a little bright for me. Any guidance appreciated!

unable to do so as i do not have one, I did have a student with high skill buy one, and I suggested he swap the comb with a Seydel Saxony, which improved the tone considerably.

the harp is not airtight from factory...solution is to make the top of the comb flat, done by sanding on glass with 600 or more grit sandpaper lightly...until it's flat. Should be done by a professional repair person

customized by airtightening, the SCX has better tone, but EAP is airtight from factory with thinner tone. Personally, I'd take the SCX.

@@mastersofharmonica6200 ohk, but they both seem to have a lot of issues with their reeds as per user reviews.... Any idea which one has lesser ?! Also, is the Suzuki still the better option; without the customisations? (which I don't think I can manage on my own 😐)

Hi! I got SCX 48 and I've been trying to do bendings, but I only get squeaks lickthe reeds are givig up. I can bend my diatonic. I wonder If the Chomatix is hard to bend?

Chromatic harmonicas are usually more difficult to bend since they have windsavers. Those little flaps that cover the reeds help prevent sound from going into other reeds which is why chromatic harmonicas are used more often for singular note playing.

do you have a video where you dismantle the Suzuki SCX ? thank you.Coming form easy to manage diatonics, I am new to chromatic. I do not understand all these parts you guys are talking about and I am not about to open this precious thing and never get it back together just for educational purposes. Not mechanically inclined , with a fine ear . Probably life would be easier the other way around
