Just purchased my 2WD Turbo today and take delivery next week. I test drove a Haval H2 which was disappointing, then took this for a drive and couldn't stop smiling. Very responsive and solid on the road.
I have the 2017 model, open road economy is great, did a 600km trip and got 5.3 litres per 100km, and around town getting 6.0 litres per 100. Not as refined as Honda Mazda or Toyota but the reliability and fuel economy certainly shines through. Highly recommend
Alan I also have a 2017 model and agree that the open road economy is excellent. On my recent run up the coast to Nambucca Heads I easily maintained 20 k/pl. and I was nudging 23.4 k/pl the other day. Admittedly I had no passengers, cargo or needed any aircon. The seats outshine those of Toyota on long trips. The driving position is great and the steering nimble and light. The vehicle is quick enough for me and just the right size. The interior is not over done like the competitors. Less 'bling', less distraction, although I personalised it with some colour trim. Controls are simple to use. The speed limiter is very handy especially on long stretches of freeway. A really great car for the price. I only wish that the volume when using the hands free phone system was a little louder.
I bought Vitara 4 months ago for the first time. I'm so supprised how it's amazing turbo engine & super smooth transmission that performs very fun & refined driving and also its very light body in weight, that all small SUV should be like that.
Own the 2019 gl+ and the wife and I love it. Her daily driver and can’t complain about. Great to drive in the city, and fuel economy even in the country is amazing. Fill it up 1x a fortnight compared to most which is weekly. Surprisingly does fit 3x car seats on the back seat. Definitely value for money. Can’t go wrong for a small suv
@@velos35 not sure if 3 baby capsules together will fit, but we definitely had 3 booster seats, not the slim line seats either. Great car aren’t they, we still love ours. And great on fuel
I have always hated the early model Suzuki Vitaras from the 1990s, but this current model is where I feel as if Suzuki has finally learnt it's lesson, especially when offering a panoramic sunroof on the top variant, but I still would have preferred it if they also offered both this size Vitara and a Grand Vitara. (one to compete against CX-3' Holden Trax, Mitsubishi ASX, etc and the other to compete against Rav4, Xtrail, and Subaru Forrester)
Suzuki is very conpetetive in small suv, they should make a redesign and upgrade the features. This car is good but it shows its age againts competition
I was glving serious thought to buying this car, but the more reviews i watch of it, the less enomoured ive become. My main reason is that it looks far too much like a big box, with no external style and very similar in the interior. Even though im a pensioner, i still like nice cars, but when ive to change my car at the end of 2019.i think i''ll give the Vitara a miss.I know it seem's strange, but i think i prefer the Sx4 S Cross Suzuki model.I know it looks a bit chunky and rugged, but i prefer that look in certain vehicles.Sorry just my taste in cars.Ps Enjoyed watching your review.Ps.Good luck with your new puppy.🐕
The SX4 is extremely good and has most if not all the embellishments that the Vitara Turbo has. However it doesn't have the driving position or height, could be important if getting in and out of a car is difficult. The design is chunky and strong but it only comes in a choice of 3 quite conservative colours. A test drive of either products might be a surprise.

Holy smoke..I'm driving one of these 4wd it's a rental it has incredible turbo boost,I didn't realise it's is only a small motor thought it was a 2 litre turbo..after driving for one day my neck is in pain like real pain nerve vertebrae.. the head rest is permanently set too far forward
A lot of people don't like the forward leaning head rest. Fortunately what you can do is remove it from the slots, flip it around so it's facing rearwards and it won't give a problem anymore
@Alex/videos The person above didn't say luxurious enough. The interior is outdated even at its price range, this isn't something new to people following Suzuki. This car barely changed from the Grand Vitara which is 10+ years old.
Why can’t suzuki make bit expensive car like Toyota or hyundai means they have very small numbers of cars and they are very small and very small engines is well. And they are most profitable company in the world but if they don’t sell good car in india than they will struggle in world, I don’t why the Suzuki able to make big presence in the world like all other japanese manufacturers?
Suzuki should stop making cars. Wether it's cheap car or expensive interior is same in every car. Suzuki still live in 90s. No change at all. Disgusting.
