I miss it so much. All the country stars from back in the 60s and 70s when I grew up….Hank Williams, Tammy Wynette, Lynn Anderson, Glenn Campbell, Johnny Cash, all the old timers. Some are still around but not many.
Whenever I'm asked, "Who is your favorite female country singer?", I'm torn between these two. Always, the first two names that come to mind are Kathy Mattea and Suzy Bogguss!
Good singing Suzy is one of my favorites! And she's so beautiful too! Only in my dreams would she ever think of going out with this old long Haired country boy like me!!😊
This is what made 90's country music the place so many of us come back to visit . Remembering when early 90's country was labeled " New Country " . For me it never gets old . Thanks Martin 727 .
@@robertrea3404 Yes ! In my senior age of 65 I remember it well . Neil Young began his musical career in Winnipeg , Manitoba hanging out with guys like Randy Bachman & Burton Cummings .
Such a beautiful song with beautiful words. They sing it so beautifully. I heard them sing the first time for the President and ever since I have never got tired listening. 👌👌
Never saw this duet before. Suzy and Kathy are superb though. I saw them about 35 years back. Saw Kathy at a club called Mardees in OKC. Saw Suzy at A huge country club called Incahoots. They both brought the house down. Both excellent singers and pickers.
@@bigdaddydavewilliams3931 Sorry to hear that. Have only seen them in Melbourne Australia twice at the same venue and the other time an outdoor Summer concert. Been on their game all 3 times twice in 2007 and the other time 2012.
That happened a long time ago Junius. Graham Nash wrote it in the 1960s but it was first recorded by Crosby, Stills & Nash in 1970. It was a big hit way back then and popular through the rest of the 70s on various format radio stations. Suzy and Kathy are top notch performers and do it very well. I ❤ Suzy Bogguss.
Love it.... Just starting my second listen. Not heard this for age's and think this is as good as the CSN version. Maybe better ! Would love to hear them cover a few other CSN&Y song's..... A REAL TREAT hearing it with female vocal's.
I just watched A live Suzy Bogguss video from early 1990's and a commenter said that Suzy was lost to the Shania craze. I never thought of it that way, but how many fantastically talented women were pushed to the side by radio and music executives because they weren't flashy and overtly sexy like Shania? Of course, you can't make someone buy records, CD's, or concert tickets, and I know that above all, music is spelled MONEY--even in the holy grounds of Nashville. But gee whiz, Kathy, Suzy, Lorie, Pam, Mary Chapin, and how many more were making great music. Who decided not to play it?
