The narration, voicing, dynamic range, subtle pedaling, intricate sense of urgency created by the exquisite internal tempo of each phrase, the whole vision is second to none!
Incredible touch and incredible sense of structure. He breathes together with Beethoven. I think that his op. 26 together with ABM's is the best possible. This has more power, that more shine. But impossible to choose one.
hey man i heard the Grigory Sokolov 's beethoven tempest! Grigory Sokolov this guy is amazing monster more then richter in tempest!!!! dont forget the Grigory Sokolov's tempest. stupid amazing!!!!!!!!
@@guscox9651 Sorry not to agree with you. I play the first movement myself slightly faster than Richter, as Paul Badura Skoda (I have a CD on a pianoforte). It is surely a matter of taste, but anyway "Andante" does not mean slow, it comes from the italian verb andare, "to go."
@@jean-pierreromain2423 interestingly, i just went on a piano course and some of the teachers there told me that they prefer it faster so that it sounds more like 3/8. I think I will compromise and go inbetween. Judging the tempo in the first movement, including all the variations, is quite hard lol
