Thank you ! I learned how to brush on/apply glaze with you on this Mayco channel… glazing techniques, do’s&dont’s, combo ideas etc ….all delivered in a fun, creative & thorough way! Cheers to more CreativeCarman info!
Thank you, Carmen! I love these glaze profile videos. They are very helpful! Would love to see you do one for each stoneware glaze that is on the market now. I recently used Satin Patina over another glaze @ cone 5; not knowing how mobile it is in combinations, and I ended up with a very runny finish! Luckily, I had put the piece on a cookie, so saved my kiln shelf. Satin Patina alone seems very stable at cone 5.
We are working our way through making videos of each! Yes, Satin Patina is stable on its own but can be more mobile in combination like some other glazes. We would suggest testing prior to use on a piece to prevent any issues. Good thing you had the cookie!
It's our Soft Fan brush! It comes in 2 different handles (wood or acrylic) and different sizes: www.maycocolors.com/product-category/tools/creative-tools/brushes/?_product_cats_expanded=glaze-brushes. The large size will help hold more glaze if you tend to be light handed.
