QOTD: I'd make stockpile last even when you switch out, you retain the stockpile charges + defense boosts
I can't believe I'm in a part of the multiverse where Weedle uploads regularly. I love your videos your humor and culture is top tier. So glad I subbed
I love how using contrary on a stacked Stockpile literally breaks how the game measures your stats, like, "oops, we accidentally doubled your defense instead of removing it"
Stockpile could also give 2 charges, at the same time as Swallow and Spit up only using 1 charge. I mean, having to waste 1 turn to charge either an attack or a heal is bad, per se. So having to waste 2 or 3 turns to have better effects is still bad. I know you're getting a "free" Cosmic Power out of Stockpile, but I don't know if it's worth it considering they're temporary
@@Anaklusmos42 they're only temporary if you use spit up or swallow. If not you're just getting iron defense and amnesia in one move. Sure if they lower the stat after you've gotten to three you can't increase it anymore but you still can get +6 in both defenses in 3 turns.
The nerf to Cress is probably because Terrastalizing it into Electric with Levitate gives it no weaknesses, so maybe they wanted to offset that with the stat nerf?
Love how you are constantly raising the bar when it comes to move and team variety, your mind is so powerful for coming up with all these genius strats for real
Always enjoy your meme teams, friend, can't wait to see what you can do with Scarlet and Violet. Thanks for all the content. To answer the qotd: reduce max Stockpile charges to 2 but keep the same damage/healing as 3 charges. Change the second boost to +2/+2 in order to incentivize going for two charges. Alternatively, giving something Stockpile's effect as an ability would be cool.
Honestly Wigglytuff line should get Moonblast! (Spoilers, it doesn't it in SV but gets nasty plot and some other moves like calm mind finally, apparently it wasn't calm enough for a long time) but yeah it should get Moonblast and like Moon rabbits too and the moon stone thing. And MUK GETS MOONBLAST SOOO? 🤭😅
You could target yourself to use Swallow, and target another Pokémon to use Spit Up, kinda like Pollen Puff. I like the idea! I wonder how you would make it work in singles though. Limit it to Spit Up?
0:30 QOTD 'How to buff Stockpile, Spit-Up, and Swallow' Stockpile, this more relates to Spit-Up and Swallow, but I think using them should only drop your Defense and Special Defense by 1 stage each on use, instead of setting them to zero. Spit-Up, set base power to 120 per amount Stockpiled so it's more in line with 'charge' moves like Meteor Beam or Skull Bash). Swallow, Restores 33%, 66%, and 100% of HP per amount Stockpiled making it slightly more viable.
3:12 I swear everytime I hear that whistle sound effect with Verlis being there I start laughing lmao, I'm so excited for Competitive Scarlet and Violet!
I really don't want the stockpile thing to take up THREE OUT OF FOUR SLOTS. Like yeah, swallow and spit up are GOOD. But they require you to use a different move to use them. Spit up should be an ability for if you don't swallow your stockpile. Or they should be melded into a single move that works like pollen puff.
I used a Stockpile Wigglytuff on a playthrough team not too long ago and I actually had such a fun time! This was such a great video featuring one of my favorite Pokemon, we love the salty DCs on the Spit Up/Swallow strat!
I have an idea that I have tested out. Grapploct and a Pokémon with contrary (Malamar work pretty well if I remember correctly). Use Octolock on the Pokémon with contrary to start boosting defense (I think) every turn instead of decreasing it.
Every time I see the notification that you uploaded my day gets better. Thanks for the heat as always! QOTD: swallow/spit up shouldn't take away all of the stockpile boosts, there needs to be some payoff for using up 2-3 of your move slots lol
Not gonna lie, after watching so many BDSP vids I redownloaded it on my switch and started a new game. Thank you for all the content and hope to run into you online!
Love love love all your content but here to say I realllllllly love the commentary!! You sound so smart and the way you walk us through it while also spitting out funny one liners/editing powers of a god is just 🥹🥰🤌🏻 chefs kiss!
An amazing and funny video Weedle! It's been around two years since I've watched your videos and I always enjoyed them, I love your content! You keep up the good content! Makes me happy to see a video with Wigglytuff in it too(My Favorite Pokemon LOL🤭) Super funny how you used Wigglytuff in these battles! Me, I use Wigglytuff as a wish support in OU singles or any battle!🐼💗😊
Yo i was looking at some of the comments on the jirachi vid ppl getting triggered by the groundon keyogre pronunciations it was great😂 . As always ur the best ill literally watch whatever u make!
QOTD: So, first of all, Stockpile is already plenty strong, needs no buffs itself. For Swallow and Spit-Up, I say rework them so that they don’t all get used at once. Use Swallow, get a big HP _boowsht,_then be back down to 2 Stockpiles. Or use Spit-Up, hit a 300 power move, then be back down to 2. …Okay, maybe Spit Up would need some small damage nerfs, but that’s my idea. Swallow recovering 2/4, 3/4 and 4/4 of Max HP instead of 1/4, 2/4, 4/4 and would also be _very_ nice. I mean, for oak stake, tier 1 Swallow doesn’t even recover 1/3 HP and that’s just a hot steaming load of McCarthyism.
QOTD: Buff both moves in this sequence: Swallow and spit up should also be useable even without stockpile, but they get significantly less bonuses Swallow at no stockpile recovers 12.5% of the user's HP. Spit up should have a fixed damage. 0 stocks = 60 power, 1 stock = 100 power, 2 stocks = 150 power, 3 stocks = 220 power, with each stock getting a crit chance increasing (so at the 3rd stockpile spit, it will always crit). EDIT: I did not hear the 300 dmg part part. Yes I intentionally nerfed it because 220 power that crits deal more than base 300.
Stockpile would be interesting if, once fully stacked, it automatically turned into swallow or spit-up but losing - 2 on your bonus stats instead of consuming all of them.
Qotd: make Swallow and Spit Up not remove the defence boosts from Stockpile. You still don't get any more boosts after +3, but at least you don't die in one hit after recovering health. Bonus: make the stockpile counter not go down but then maybe nerf the recovery and bp a bit.
I have watched this vid a lot of times and now decided to comment that the lucario support set is the best thing I have ever seen in my life. Weedle you are soo awsome
I think to improve Stockpile, Swallow and Spit Up they need to make Stockpile, Swallow and Spit Up work better individually and together. - Stockpile - Stockpile should become a Screen move. Change Stockpile to reduce the damage the user and allies on the field take by 1/3rd as long as the user stays on the field or until they use Swallow or Spit Up. While Stockpile is in effect the user's Speed is halved and their weight is doubled. - Swallow - Swallow should become a Protection move. It protects the user from all effects of Special moves that target it during the turn it is used. If it successfully protects the user from a Special move or is used after using Stockpile the user recovers 1/3rd HP. - Spit Up - Spit Up should become a 80 BP Poison Type move. It's power is increased by 1.5 if used after using Stockpile. If used after Swallow successfully protects the user from a Special move it's power increases by 1.5 and it's damage type changes to that of the move Swallow protected against. I think this would give the moves various combinations and make them not reliant on being a trinity. You could use just Swallow and Spit Up, or Stockpile and Swallow. Stockpile could be used alone and be used in Trick Room.
Stockpile / Swallow / Spitup offer the perfect opportunity to implement something like a new field condition. Like I mean you literally spit up your "stockpile", so why not have a Leftovers esque field condition, that gets stronger with each stack of Stockpile. Swallo on the other hand could be treated similar to shell smash, getting stronger with each stack of stockpile. This would make stockpile / swallow / recover amazing for Baton-Pass mons.
