Hi there comrades, I hope you all are doing well. This song is composed by Alexander Doroshenka. I do not own any of the this song or images, credits to the owners and artist
Here is the original Russian text.
@@goodoldnationalist3952 the black tulip is a nickname for the planes which carry coffins, he watches the plane circle overhead, or in the distance, as it may be looking for bodies or somewhere to land idk why its circling.
This song honestly touches something with me even though I have never been in war, the way the lyrics describe everything with the tone just makes it more touching to me, may all the young men who died Rest In Peace
I am Polish, but my grandfather is Russian. He told me as a child about the calvaries he had to go through in Afghanistan and how he lost his arm and his best friend. All war from my point of view is useless and meaningless, the only ones who suffer are only the pawns who obey orders like sheep hoping to breathe again tomorrow.
Swallowing dust, losing consciousness. There is not much water left. The chopper is lying shot down somewhere nearby. And my AKM became heavy. Yes, I am alone, I was left alone. All my friends have perished. All my hope is on one magazine, You won't take me that easy, brutes! Afghan, afghan, afghan. Afghan, Afghanistan. The black Tulip spins over the river bank. Afghan, afghan, afghan. Afghan, Afghanistan. The black Tulip spins over the river bank. Broken, fractured legs. Every sound reverberates in my brain. It's so sad to die, oh God, In my twenty incomplete years. Tears flow, flow from my eyes, I just cant hold them back. I tell myself, "calm down!" We're going to die with a smile. Afghan, afghan, afghan. Afghan, Afghanistan. The black Tulip spins over the river bank. Afghan, afghan, afghan. Afghan, Afghanistan. The black Tulip spins over the river bank. Surrounded, I'm surrounded. There is no more salvation for me, to leave. You, come closer to me. I'll meet you brutes, I'm ready! Running up to me screaming something. One strikes his rifle stock to my face. The blood gushes to my eyes in streams. Well, farewell, I pulled the pin. Afghan, afghan, afghan. Afghan, Afghanistan. The black Tulip spins over the river bank. Afghan, afghan, afghan. Afghan, Afghanistan. The black Tulip spins over the river bank. ..Afghan, afghan, afghan. Afghan, Afghanistan. The black Tulip spins over the river bank. Afghan, afghan, afghan. Afghan, Afghanistan. The black Tulip spins over the river bank.
You don't feel anything. You were afraid to leave the base. Russians went to the bazaar and traded with the locals and drank tea in a tea house. You would probably faint from fear of going to the market without air cover and artillery support ...))
I am always interested in why you make a statement without knowing anything about the USSR and Russia? There were 100 times more applicants than needed. Those who did not want to fly to Afghanistan were not forced to do so, it was purely voluntary. Any Soviet veteran will tell you that. Your false myths are already infuriating.
@@Кипящийразум what, when did I make a false statement, I said that they seemed sad, I do not think they were forced to or anything, they just look sad, if you look sad, you look sad, if you look angry, you look angry, I was just saying that some of there emotions on there face show they are sad
@@snowguylolhehe Nobody was forced to. Everyone looks cheerful and hates America. It's bad that we didn't supply weapons to the Mujahideen when they fought the Americans. But we'll fix it. In the next American war, we will help the enemies of America with first-class Russian weapons.
What does "the black tulip floats over the riverbank" mean? I have very little knowledge of Russian society, is this lyric allegorical or symbolic in some way?
Rip Roman Filipov, died the way of the soldier in the song. But in Syria when surrounded by the "moderate Al Qaeda rebels" (it's modern newspeak, not my personal opinion)
Afghanistan where empires go to die the men that fought and perished in both Afghan wars of the modern era (The Soviet Afghan War and The War on Terror (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, America, Germany, France, Sweden, Britain, Poland and those who were loyal to them during this period)). My respect lies with them all
Empires should learn from Afghanistan and not meddle with us, we will never accept your ways. Now there is the age of openly available information, I hope future generations learn from Britain, Soviet Russia, and NATO and learn to leave us be. We can be your friends, on our terms.
As a current member of the US army I'm potentially going to Iraq of Afghanistan, I hope I can keep the peace man. I don't want to have to hurt these people.
Funny one... One desert between worlds fought and won against two superpowers. I think it's the only common thing between USSR and USA except Suez crisis from 50ties
@@goodoldnationalist3952 I'll give you a good example: the RU lyrics use the word вертолёт for "helicopter", but the singer uses вертушка, which is Russian slang, means "spinning thing". That's why it's translated as "chopper". I don't mean to attack you or anything, nor do I really care about the Russian language, it's more about how lazy it is.
Here you go, from Russia with love! Pyl' glotayu, Teryau soznanie, Vody ne ostalos sovsem, I vertushka lezhit gte-to ryadom, I tyazhelym moy stal AKM... Da, odin, ya ostalsya odin, A vse dryzya moi polegli. Vsya nadezhda - odin magazin, Prosto tak ne vozmete, skoty! Refrain(x2): Afghan, Afghan, Afghan, Afghan, Afghanistan. Chyorniy tyulpan nad beregom reki. Perebity, polomany nogi, Kazhdyi zvuk otdayetsya v mozgah. Da I zhal ymirat mne, ey bogy, V dvatsati nepolnyh godah. Slezy lyutsya, iz glaz moih lyutsya, Ne mogu ya ih uderzhat. Sam sebe govoruy:« Yspokoisya, My s ylubkoi poidem ymirat'!» Refrain(x2) Oblozhili, menya oblozhili, Bolshe net mne spaseniya uyti, Podhodite ko mne vi poblizhe, Vstrechy vas ya, skotov, ot dushi! Podoshli ko mne, chto-to gorlanyat, Odin synyl prikladom v lico. Krov glaza zalivaet volnami... Chtoz, proshaite... Ya dernul kol'co! Refrain(x4)
i have met many people (pasthuns to be exact) from Peshawar to to quetta and refuges from Afghanistan but i have never heard about this aristocrat race or class or even anyone talk about it
Kinda weird the Russian lyrics don't match, also, I'd recommend changing the colour of the lyrics so they are more visible, in this one they seem to blend with the background.
@@maciejnowak5175 Glory to the Polish People ! I hope you guys don't hate Russians and remember you were all one in the Great Union of Socialist Republics ❤️. Peace between the people's of the world ❤️✌🏻
