@@gautamrs Swamiji might very well be Enlightened. One thing for sure is he's extraordinary. I had been meditating and diving deep into consciousness studies for roughly a decade and from a secular perspective the results were very good. Then late summer last year while searching RU-vid for content on consciousness I came across Sadhguru and one simple sentence struck me, and that was to open up a small space between mind and consciousness and I realized I had often been in that "space" in deep meditation. Then Swamiji's videos began popping up in my RU-vid recommended videos and I started watching them and I was hooked. Within less than two month I had a mind-blowing precognition experience that left me shaken to the core followed by a full-blown Awakening experience that lasted for the better part of two months. Some years back I practiced techniques for lucid dreaming with some success and my Awakening experience was like a waking lucid dream. When attaining lucidity in a dream one realizes one is not the dream body but the dreamer and the entire dream. My experience was just like that only in waking reality. I realized, and experientially, that I was not mind-body but Consciousness and It was in everything and everything in It. While a lucid dream is an amazing experience this was beyond profound. One of the most amazing aspects was when looking into another's eyes I "knew" without a shadow of doubt I was looking right back, to the point of expecting a knowing wink back. Same with my dog and all animals and even insects, and to a lesser extent trees and other flora. I was literally everything and everything me and experientially so. It was far beyond intellectual and this attempt at explaining doesn't even begin to do it justice. It's beyond intellect and language. While it did eventually fade it hasn't totally dissipated and there's no way to unexperience it. That "space" is still present below the surface and very accessible in deep meditation and the Karma Yoga practice of Work as Witness, though not nearly as ever-present or intense as those couple of months late last year. I'm ever grateful to Swamiji for pointing me in the direction that revealed what was always there but never realized/recognized.

The only experience in this body that we never fedup with is sleep. We can sleep continuosly for 24months without exhaustion. You don't feel consciousness because it is impossible for awareness to know awareness. Thoughts feelings, emotions, are all objective things that ride along the stream of consciousness because we are aware of them but they are not awareness in themselves.

Understanding it [awareness] is not possible (Understanding it exists is easy), but getting to, the one next step of being it seems impossible, except for those very very few enlightened beings. Most of them (almost all) who ever have got it, they got it one fine day, just like that. Of course they were looking for it very badly (like: Buddha, Osho), some get it though they were into totally different thing (like: Eckhart, Sadhguru). Hopefully, learning more and more about it, and practicing as much awareness as possible on everyday tasks, leads to it one fine day!

@@srinivasbt9548 To me, understanding is something mind and intelligence attempt to do but consciousness is just existence. Consciousness is even beyond that which is realized because it is that which allows you to know realization. The best we can say about consciousness is " it is that which simply is and it's nature is to be conscious that it is and it is a love reality." Being that which simply is you can't trace it through time therefore time doesn't even give clues to how to explain it.
