Such a great video! Swardman made a huge mistake firing their CEO. He was the guy behind the whole thing. They needed to keep going with development without him, it seemed to end. Your points are 100% spot on. They bend in the handlebars would drive me crazy as well as the noise. Who knows maybe they will listen.

I was so close to getting the Swardman. Once I saw RK use his I was amazed, but ended up going with the Allett Kensington 20. After all the issues I had with my battery powered EGO, I wasn’t about to throw thousands of dollars into another plastic machine. I’m holding onto my gas powered mowers till the end!!

Ive been lucky and have had almost zero issues. Basic maintenance with belts and oil changes. Yes it does rattle but overall ive been very happy, i have the grooved roller and zero issues also. Down the road i may upgrade to a bigger Allet

@@YardBrah ive noticed the quality control is hit or miss on alot of the units. I got mine 2 years ago when Reel Rollers was still the seller. Not sure if that matters or not. Im waiting to see what those guys got in store in terms of their mower.

Brah, like you said before, the swardman for the price, nah! I’ll take the used 🇺🇸 made residential cali, McLane, or Tru-cut. Swardman definitely gets the “Ferrari” look sitting in the driveway. But other than the rock incident, I haven’t had to make any adjustments, yet,this season Release beast and Godzilla! Let’s have a solo shoot-out on the K31. 5 blade vs 6 Blade 🤙🏻👍🏻👊🏻🇺🇸🔥

Hudson Star is a gem of a mower!!!! Cali trimmer is great too but doesn’t cut as low as the Hudson!!! Hudson max height of cut is 3/4” but they have extender blocks so you can cut higher! Swardman is the I have $4500 laying around why not … Hudson is a lifetime mower for sure 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾👊🏾

I’m not sure what I would have to be earning to pay that much for a lawn mower but I am surprised at the comments about the Kawasaki engine. I’m saving my money for the new Cobra cylinder that’s just come out.

Can we talk that you need a Toro Sportlawn low cut, side wheel drive 50's Cadillac Beast....! It has a massive bedknife you can sharpen with a file held sideways. Remove the wooden real roller and have one turned from brass or copper and no other mower will stripe like it. Do not touch reel to bedknife if you have had coffee, herbal tea then adjust.... Total mind of it's own and takes a firm hand to keep on line. Get the 21inch.

As much hate as the swardman gets (from myself included 😂) the one thing I can appreciate about it is the tall handle bars. Every reel mower I’ve had has had such short handlebars like they are made for hobbits lol Take note reel mower companies

When you started your reel it sounded like you have a nasty little Burr on your bed knife. If you're blades seem a little dull try purchasing a new bed knife it will freshen things up. And the price for a bed knife will not break you.!

@@YardBrah I have the Electra 55. It lacks many of the problems you listed: it doesn’t shake and the self propell is smooth as butter. The only problem I have with the Electra is that it struggles on my thick Zoysia in Florida. It will sometimes overheat and shut down. I love the Electra though, whisper quiet; I can mow at 6am.

Good honest review but sex & strip monster doesn't justify all the problems you identified. High maintenance 5K machine with lots of downfalls. This is a NO BUY . The only reel mower to go with is Hudson Star and you have one and love it.

@@YardBrah One of the other reviewers a few years ago (I forget which one) had a sprocket break. He then had to wait forever for replacement parts. I was once leaning toward the Swardman because I thought the cartridges would be easier to maintain, but the potential mechanical problems killed that idea and I ended up buying a used GM. So far so good, but I do wonder what I'm going to do when I need a new reel.
