If you leave the rear bar on it will tuck the front better and give you more overall articulation.

A sway bar on independent suspension defeats the purpose of independent suspension

If you had a solid front axle and 4 bar suspension the front end would be way more noticeable . When you remove it on a Jeep , it's really noticeable . IFS is smoother and does better on road , but a solid axle will flex way more .

someday I'll solid axle swap my tacoma lmao
@Jawesome1Shazam
@Jawesome1Shazam 7 дней назад
@@garettjohnson2234 I'm gonna keep the IFS, I don't do anything needing that much flex, I'd rather just get an imported Unimog if I wanted the most flex. If I were going hardcore into straight rock crawling, then yeah, a Hilux solid axle fosho.

Its only worth with an suspension upgrade and modified wheelhouses in my opinion.

i finally spotted your truck goin down 80th haha, legit set up! anyways you might know this, maybe not. next time out using 4x4. when turning off traction control hold it again untill the message esc system off comes on the dash. your truck will act more in the "locker" style

It's not very smart to do that if you're driving on the road because it keeps you from flipping over going around turns

That is a emphatic NO.
@hurstonhurst2242
@hurstonhurst2242 Год назад
Sorry forgot to state the reason why. Simply put. If you are towing and you have a broken or removed sway bar, under breaking or turning the load will push you causing the front end to "Dive" and that motion is exaggerated when you have a load causing an even more pronounced body roll. This obviously can lead to loss of traction, coil bind and loss of steering and reduced breaking control.

I aint a sub here but was thinking about removing the sway bars off my truck BUT u didnt do a what if u have to lock up test what happens cause if someone cuts u off u have to lock up or risk killing ppl and doing jail time SO what about that kind of vid ?

@@Carfleet im just worried about having to lock up cause some ass cuts me off and having my tires go into the fenders cause nothing there to stop them from doing it cause last time i seen a rig without it they locked up the brakes and the tire moved back towards the door
@Carfleet
@Carfleet Год назад
@@RCman9291 this doesn’t effect your braking it effects your body roll from side to side your wheels shouldn’t come forward if you slam on the brakes

@@Carfleet ya i work on rigs so i get what they do but i just seen that also move from locking up the brakes so didnt wanna risk having my truck messed up if i have to lock up i may find a way to take the links off when i hit trails and leave the back one off all the time maybe idk yet lol

You've made the truck more dangerous on road, and gained zero extra traction off road. All your suspension components are moving beyond the normal limits of what they're designed. You now have wheels fouling guards as a perfect example. Also, you got absolutely no further up the shingle pile, in fact it looked like you got an inch or two less.
@Carfleet
@Carfleet 2 года назад
Trucks mint on road just have to be a good driver also I don’t have the rack anymore so it’s no where near as top heavy Thanks for watching
@hurstonhurst2242
@hurstonhurst2242 Год назад
More dangerous on road... Kind of.. Depending on how he drives. The statement of taking the suspension components beyond what they are designed to do, it 100% inaccurate. The statement about gaining zero off road tractions is also inaccurate. Articulation for moving over obstacles is necessary. More articulation compression or droop will help keep all 4 wheels on the ground IMPROVING traction. The failure of the truck climbing the pile has solely to do with not having lockers nothing to do with removing the sway bars. Look, you learn something new everyday, Your welcome.
@CHMernerner
@CHMernerner 6 месяцев назад
well if you ever been offl road. 1 inch on front is a lot of difference. it determines you get stuck or not. and it is completely different thing than removing Solid Rear axle's Sway bar.
