Although this is neither official starting or ending point, this stretch was the final couple of miles for me. About 14 years ago I walked on Perranporth Beach when the high tide "vanished" our way back to Perran Sands campsite. So, we stayed for a while in Perranporth and since that time we came back year after year. Hence, my family came over and joined me for the last miles on Perranporth Beach. Hence, I did complete the whole SWCP now and I am glad and proud that I decided to do it and accomplished it. Thanks to the weather good (if there is one).

About me and my charity appeal:
I am doing the SWCP during a sabbatical and started on 22.2.22 (2sDay). I want to walk the complete path (630 miles / 1030 kilometers) and will actively pick plastic bottles and cans which I spot on the path and will bring them to the nearest recycling bin (if not available to an ordinary waste bin). It is a project of heart for me to keep this area of Great Britain clean and safe. Like a paradise (#PERRANDISE). This word is derived from Perran in Cornwall.
Do you like the SWCP, appreciate the work of RNLI and want to have clean and plastic free oceans and beaches? Well, then I want to encourage you to spend whatever you are willing to for the organizations of your choice. The links below are related to the dedicated justgiving pages which are open for donations until middle of 2023.
The RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) is basically running lifeboats & lifeguards in the coastal areas. To support RNLi on Justgiving I would invite you to use this link:

The SWCP (South West Coast Path) Organisation makes sure the longest Coast Path of Britain is maintained and leads along safe & secure clifftops. To support SWCP on Justgiving I would appreciate if you use this link:

The SAS (Surfers Against Sewage) are doing measures against plastics on beaches and oceans, beach cleaning activities and a lot more. To donate for the SAS activities please use the following link:

The last piece in the jigsaw and further congrats. Now I know how to get round the Crantock if the ferry crossing is shut and the boardwalk flooded! This, apart from showing off the abundant beauty of the SWCP, is such a very useful resource.

Thanks for feedback. As I walked and even went on the ferry boat some years back I thought, well what do a couple of more miles matter to walk. Kind of sad emotion anyway now to leave the UK pretty soon. However, it was a very nice and challenging adventure in many aspects. Maybe it was more energy taking to get the van along the coast through "narrowest" lanes and do the almost 200km of cycling with the foldable 20" bike instead of using buses or walking double distances.

@@perrandise104 You have more energy than me clearly. I would never have added on another couple of miles and as for cycling - no way! The walk was enough. I raise my hat to you.
