Cheers Ross. Yeah I thought it was worth showing things don’t always go to plan, rather than fix an edit and gloss over it. Think it helps others that want to do this walk that some areas need a game plan.
The distance really depends on how tough the terrain is. South Devon was so much easier on the whole so I managed to really cover some miles quickly on this trip. Also wild camping helps. I start several hours earlier than I would on a campsite or b+b
@@an9636 that is true. And the breakfasts often start as late as 08:30. But I myself would never plan on covering more than around 14 miles a day no matter the terrain 🙂And definitely not carrying a tent and all the other gear on my back. The daypack with a lot of water, valuables, cameras, powerbanks, snacks, first aid kit etc is enough for me 🙂 I would probably have done more miles a day when I was younger 😉
