Sandra Herrera and Lisa Roman welcome Sweedish International Sofia Jakobsson to the show. San Diego Wave FC traded with Bayern Munich for the striker and aim to make a 3-year deal with Jakobsson. I've followed Sofia for most of her career, always loved her style, full on attacker. Wave are going to be a real contender.

We know Sofia's name because we've seen her torment international competition (including the USWNT) with her speed and fight over and over again! I especially remember her goal against Germany in the 2019 World Cup--they really couldn't contain her all game.

Sofia is a phenomenal fútbol player who is a brilliant contributor to an Offense that contains Alex Morgan and Taylor! Her pace, tactical knowledge acquired during competition at the pinnacle of competition. Why more teams don’t recognize the contribution that can be made unilaterally by members of the Professional Players Feminin is still a mystery to me.

She is one of the big reasons why the USWNT hoisted bronze instead of some other color in Tokyo. You want to hate her but you can't - she loves her mom's cooking! Nonetheless, a lot of her San Diego game film is going to be late night study sessions for USWNT coaches. IMO the road to the 2023 WWC goes through Sweden and Spain.

@@jariemonah Yet there are talks about players striking before pre season AND fans not buying tickets or renewing their season tickets unless owners give into players' demands. If owners dig in their heels, how long are players & fans, strike and boycott, respectively? That's the angle from which I made my comment.

@@machellovelivelife658 First off, they're threatening to not report to preseason training camp, which is entirely different from showing up to a game. This is also the earliest preseason in the league's history. ACFC just sold 13k season tickets and 90% of Portland Thorns fans just renewed theirs. The actual regular season doesn't start until May and the preseason tournament prior to that starts in April.
