@@luizxabier254 steven siempre hizo notar su presencia, era el mas carismatico de todos, y desde que se fue de los Guns, nunca pudieron reemplazarlo del todo. Matt Sorum hizo un gran trabajo, pero Steven es insuperable.

@@michellopezherce6333 No lo despidieron, Izzy odiaba ser el único miembro de GNR que no se drogaba y se sentía fuera de lugar, incluso en su último año con GNR en los tours el viajaba en un autobus separado de los demás miembros de la banda. Incluso Axl Rose comentó en una entrevista que la última llamada que tuvo con Izzy por teléfono, le rogó y lloró que no dejara la banda.
Ok, since everyone else seems to be fucking tone deaf I'll be the bad guy; this is NOT Izzy Stradlin playing guitar. Sure, it's similar, but so many parts that aren't the way he did it. Painfully obvious for a true GnR fan and guitar player. Anyone want to doubt me on this I can point out several spots for you to compare to the album.
+bandit7498 You're absolutely right. This is not the track from AFD, this is not even Izzy playing. The tone is a pretty good approximation of Izzy's, but the playing itself isn't. I don't know why it surprises me that people can't tell the difference.
Alex Omana no one has it. Welcome to the Jungle is the only GnR song with each instrument isolated on youtube. Maybe nightrain because of the pinball machine and Slash borrowed it for his afd100 amp.
People tend to over do it when covering this song, they seem to try too hard, and over think it. Good melodic sensibility, minimal force, and just great musical instincts.
I think that Izzy was the soul and a huge part of music writing for the band. G-N-R were definitely bigger than the sum of its parts. In every great band every member brings some unique contribution that makes the band what it is and when that is gone, no matter how small it may seem, the band is not the same. It really does change the entire dynamic of a band. Michael Anthony from VH is a great example of that. His backing vocals and his style of playing really fleshed out their sound. Wolfgang may be able to play the music, but he doesn't have nearly the same sound.
+Chris J I definitely agree with you. And Izzy played with his whole heart and soul. When he left, Guns N' Roses start to fade away. I don't say that Gilby was bad, he wasn't, but Izzy was irreplaceable. It's the same situation as when Ozzy left Black Sabbath.

It's more about what you don't play than what you play, those strums that ring out can seem a bit weird when we listen to them here, but we all know they fit the song perfectly.
Anyone notices how in the verse it kind of sounds like Patience??? hehe obviously they are the same chords but its crazy how you not notice that in the whole song

Porque insisten en esas pendejadas de "el verdadero genio detrás de guns...." ??? Claro que fue parte importante y pieza clave de la banda! Pero en una banda de ese calibre está más que claro que fue todo producto de ningun único y verdadero genio, sino de la conjunción de un grupo de excelentes músicos/artistas que supieron canalizar la inspiración del momento y generar una alquimia maravillosa entre todos. Que afan de los fans de encumbrar ídolos!
This is not izzy. And PLEASE play that slash intro closer to the neck and/or use your neck pickup for a more round tone. I just listened to the first couple seconds. Youre either using midi or you are playing too close to the bridge. Didnt listen long enough to determine that. Thats a GN'R no-no. Shame!

I can tell this is not Izzy!!! No shit, Sherlock. For starters, he tries to play lead and gets it wrong...Izzy never did that. it is somebody impersonating him. Hi obviously someone who listens to Green Day too much. It is wrong...his playing was never that angry sounding. Izzy was much classier. xxx
+Jessica Peers i agree this isnt Izzy but i dont hear anything "angry" and i dint know Greenday were anything more than a happy upbeat sounding watered down punk band but to each his/her own
