When I was learning to play guitar I would pan to each side of the stereo spectrum and learn both Izzy and Slash's parts. I always loved the way they complemented each other. Great cover.

Honestly, most of Izzy's rhythm parts are good enough to be the lead for the majority of other bands.

Izzy was so underrated. I don't think that gnr would have made it as big as they did without him. Just look at how many songs he was a major part of making. So underrated!

I love that double guitar work, in fact, true Guns N' Roses albumwise is Appetite and Lies. But we should remember, how that stuff was made. Slash was pretty clear about that in his book

Dude this is amazing! Izzy's playing was totally unique and full of so many amazing styles perfectly blended into one.

Love GNR it's the band that got me playing guitar! I always try to learn both Izzy's and Slash's guitar parts. The best thing is they never really play the same riffs on a song.

Back in the day, we'd crank it up loud at 3:29 in the barracks in 1989. Even if you didn't like GnR, you did when this came on.

Izzy Stradlin unsung hero

This video perfectly show how good of a guitarist Izzy Stradlin is. Same league as Malcolm Young.

You guys need to know and remember Stradlin was never a pure out rhythm guitarist in the traditional sense. First off, he did the first solo in Nightrain and all the solos in Think About You. (Maybe more) Second, when they both played the chords in the songs Izzy would normally just use voicings of those chords and inversions so that it wouldn’t sound just like one guitar being doubled in the studio or live. As far as Slash is concerned, Slash actually never wanted Izzy in the band or felt a need for a second guitar but the story goes that when Slash heard Axl sing on a demo tape (from Hollywood Rose) Slash said «that is our guy, we need to get that guy in our band» and at some point Axl said (I think to Slash) «Izzy goes where I go. If I join this band Izzy is coming along too» [paraphrased]

Excelente!. One of the best songs in that album. If Izzy was still playing with the band, they would sound better. And the reason that album is a masterpiece is mainly because of Mike Clink and then Izzy Stradlin. Yes, they are all talented musicians but Izzy has a special magic in him so does Adler. So at my age, and after all these years of being a fan of the band, I would put Izzy first in the creative order, then Adler and Duff, then Slash, and Axl last when it comes to musical arrangements. But obviously, missing any of these guys, the band is not Guns N’ Roses. Yes, is nice to see 3 original members playing live, but Duff needs Adler and his radiant energy and the whole band needs Izzy to bring balance. - By the way, Matt and Dizzy did a great job too, they could also be considered an extension of G N’ R-.

I wanna know how you got these isolated vocals. It’s like Axls pure voice with no effects on it like on the album.
