it feels to me as if every guitarist somehow makes their notes and their strings sound like a voice of their own. slash for example makes an irreplaceable sound on his guitar that no other man can do. almost like each guitarist has a unique sound only themselves can produce. It is really cool, and it kind of shows that no band member is truly repaceable
She's got a smile that it seems to me Reminds me of childhood memories Where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky Now and then when I see her face She takes me away to that special place And if I stare too long, I'd probably break down and cry Whoa, oh, oh Sweet child o' mine Whoa, oh, oh, oh Sweet love of mine She's got eyes of the bluest skies As if they thought of rain I'd hate to look into those eyes and see an ounce of pain Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place Where as a child I'd hide And pray for the thunder and the rain to quietly pass me by Whoa, oh, oh Sweet child o' mine Whoa whoa, oh, oh, oh Sweet love of mine Whoa, yeah Whoa, oh, oh, oh Sweet child o' mine Whoa, oh, whoa, oh Sweet love of mine Whoa, oh, oh, oh Sweet child o' mine Ooh, yeah Ooh, sweet love of mine Where do we go? Where do we go now? Where do we go? Ooh, oh, where do we go? Where do we go now? Oh, where do we go now? Where do we go? (Sweet child) Where do we go now? Ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay Where do we go now? Ah, ah Where do we go? Oh, where do we go now? Oh, where do we go? Oh, where do we go now? Where do we go? Oh, where do we go now? Now, now, now, now, now, now, now Sweet child Sweet child of mine
It's fascinating to hear these isolated guitar parts, I'd love to hear all the major GNR songs isolated with Slash hard right and Izzy hard left so it's easier to "Visualize" how their parts work together.
I’m a self taught bass player, so idk anything about music, but at :50 how did he get the tone to sound so angelic and sweet? Instead of hard like the intro
Strum softer and towards the bottom of the strings. That's how I do it to get this sound. I'm sure slash has his own way since this is one of his signature sounds (you can hear the same effect clearly in the paradise city intro)

This is a good cover but it’s clearly not slash. Most people in the comments seem to agree but many still think it is. It was most apparent to me that this was not in fact him toward the end of the solo when it really builds. The bends were not nearly as good and melodic as slash’s and some were a bit flat or sharp. I think if you could hear slash’s isolated track side-by-side with this it would be readily apparent. Slash has more character, more feel, really great quarter bends and a more explosive sound. The basic guitar tone is a bit off as well. That all said this is still a pretty good cover.
are you serious? Of course it's Slash. Maybe this is not exactly the performance on the album. The bass is just for the background. It also sounds like an analog recording.
Nope, it’s not slash, or maybe it’s a sloppy take that was discarded. It’s not completely accurate in the solo section, and some other parts feel off, but if it’s a cover it’s a great one, really good tone and it’s played with feel.
