Sweet was a great band who deserves much, much more accolades then they get. You couldn't find a better drummer than Mick Tucker , plus all four had lead voice qualities. Just a great band . One of my favorites as a youth , and they still are.

52 years ago. Who's still listening in 2019? (now 2020!) (now 2021) (now 2022) (now 2023) (now 2024) Loyal Sweet fans will listen to this song for Decades.

Pointless in comparing them to other bands. Sweet were Sweet. They lived in their own musical world which will never die.

Mick Tucker was an awesome drummer.I'm 64 and a drummer. I stole a few licks from him. I saw the guys in 1978. Sweet was a great band . Desolation Boulevard, what an album!

Brings tears to my eyes to think that 3 out of four of this legendary band are no longer with us. I went through several records due to being overplayed. What a fun and great band. Great time to be alive.

Knowing how to interpret this song, craft it, and make it fun with the right emphasis, then all of the guys lining up in the front.....all points to Sweet being more than just a flash in the pan...They had the energy, the looks, the style that made them the one band I would have loved to have seen....They had bottled magic in their songs.

Born in '68, youngest of 7...Have slowly come to re-enjoy Sweet in the modern era, but grew up on the 45s of Little Willie and Fox on the Run. Underrated band, oh absolutely. ;)

I went to high school in the early '70's and hearing this song takes me back to those great days. The Sweet were the bomb back then, and they always will be.

This song came out when I was about 10, just love it. I found it here on RU-vid about 2 months ago and decided to play it for my 2 grandkids who are 3 and 1. They loved it! We dance around the house and they’ll say, “Play it again, Grammy”! Such great memories!😃

I had a friend named Willie. I'm 75 and met him when we were both 13. Two months ago Willie went home.

We play Sweet at all family events. Everyone gets up to dance to Little Willy and Ballroom Blitz, my 87 mom leads us all on the dance floor. Our brother Roger just passed a few weeks ago and we all danced to Sweet in the parking lot at the funeral luncheon. He always kept us rockin....Love and miss you Rog!!!

Most underrated band in rock history!

Such a fun time for music! I remember hearing them when I went to dancing school in the early 70s. These guys had catchy songs and they just drew you in and you wanted to dance and jump around. I saw their 70s videos in the 80s (since I didn't have access to Top of the Pops) and they had on the eyeliner and gender bending styles and all I can say is...so hot!

Even though they had some success , this band was definitely underrated and somewhat ahead of their time . All the hair bands of the eighties and Def Leppard and Motley Crue owe these guys something if not a mention. I mean Sweet laid the groundwork for them.

2020 I liked these songs when they first came out. Yes, I am that old. haha My fav was ballroom blitz though.

1972 is one of R&R's greatest years.

Is anyone listening in 2020? Because I am. Sadly I was born in 2005 so I wasn't brought up with this amazing band. But im so glad i can listen now.

This one of my sister Eva's FAVORITE songs!!! My sister Nancy was hanging out with her boyfriend at a basketball court near the entrance to our housing project. My sister Eva, me, my girlfriend Debbie, and my aunt Rose cruised by in my aunt's Plymouth Sport Satellite. We heard this song while we were cruising up on my sister Nancy. Eva told my aunt to park in the lot next to the basketball court. A couple of other kids were trying to dance to this but did not make a good showing so my sister Eva said, " Let's show these AMATEURS how to dance to this"!!!!!! Nancy, Eva, and Rose took the lead and me and Debbie were behind them!!! Pretty soon we drew a LARGE crowd of people!!! then Eva, Nancy, and Rose moved out and me and Debbie gave everyone a taste of the "AERIAL WARS" & the "CANNON" that is when everyone FREAKED OUT!!!!!! Nancy's boyfriend told her, " Your family is "AWESOME" Now I see why you are SO GOOD!!!!! Your brother and his girlfriend are "UNREAL"!!!! Eva told him, " She is not my brother's girlfriend"!!! She is our BABY SISTER"!!! My sister Caroline is my other baby sister. I told them, " She is just as good as Eva!!!!! My aunt told everyone, " I have so much fun with these kids"!!!! You always have to be ready for a dance show with these kids"!!!!! Everyone there app lauded us and hugged us!!! One kid asked Eva, "Are you guys good on skates as well"!!!! Rose Replied, " Come down to the Roller Drome and see for yourself!!!!!

Coolest Glam band that ever existed.

Remember listening to this in the lunchroom and we would bang on the tables. Many years ago but I still remember. They quit playing it. I guess they thought we got too rowdy. This was elementary school!

They may be just one of the ultimate glam pop groups we have ever heard. Their songs are fun and catchy and light etcetera. Is there another group out there quite like this one ? Great beat and singing and so on.......

9/9/2023. My parents educated me about glam rock. They've always said that Sweet was one of the greatest bands of the 70's that nobody talks about. I love glam rock!

This was the first Sweet song I heard, when I was about 9. It was their first big hit here in the US. They played it a lot at the skating rink. Now my 28 year old daughter loves it and thinks it's hilarious. It's a very addictive song!😎

Just bought their CD in op shop. I can only listen to them LOUD. I crank up the sound and bop away. Love it.

This version, according to Andy, is ACTUALLY The Sweet playing, and not the usual session musicians on the single version. It sounds heavier.
