Yes... brilliant voice and sweet person, in every sense of the word...I wonder what level of cruelty it would have taken to beat and kick him so brutally as to ruin some of his vocal cords forever...Now he's in a place that only love and light, has for boundaries...RIP Brian (and Mick and Steve)❤
Sweet meine Herzbuben ❤️seit 50 Jahren. Sie waren genial und wurden total unterschätzt. 🎤🎶🥁🎸 RIP Brian meine Lichtgestalt ever💓💓💓💓💓💓, Mick und Steve. Ihr seid unvergessen, ich vermisse Euch❤️❤️❤️
I do not dare to write which was for me the best band back then... But maybe this fact makes it weight much heavier, when I say how much I liked from some time later on the Sweet. Yes, I own their vinyls, since my youth. And the older I get, the more I see how brillant they have been. Their songs with these incredible great singing between Brian and Steve resemble only Queen. I am so sad that back then all was speaking poise ed and we were told we had to decide for one band. I do not want to miss my memories, cannot say I had decided wrong back then, but I just love Sweet. It makes me sad that two members had to leave us so very young. Be blessed, you all. Greetings from Germany! :)
I saw SLADE and many others...LIVE IN CONCERT!... SWEET were much BETTER than those groups you have mentioned.., they were easily as good as THE WHO or DEEP PURPLE. By 1976 they had evolved into a heavy rock group.. the drummer in particular was incredible live... like a CARL PALMER!!
The thing about these guys is that they are seriously addictive: you listen to them once, then you can't do without them, without feeling a sense of unease or lack of something if you don't listen to one of their songs, at least once a day...
The Sweet have belonged to the best bands on this planet.Their early tracks are fabulous, their glam rock songs are brilliant and so are their self-penned songs.
+Kodiak and Grizzly Bears Agree 100% - Brilliantly put! I love the band's style too, they were so talented yet never took themselves too seriously and always looked like they were having so much fun!
They might not have enjoyed it because it wasn't theirs. They just delivered the tune. That said. I really think Brian enjoyed this one. His face says it all.
That's a nice statement. It goes to show that the politicians are responsible for hate and war. Ordinary Russian people, no different to Ordinary people the world over. Hello to you from England.
Yeah, Little Willy was the first single that remotely sounded like the live band. You could actually hear the guitar on it on that one.... But these earlier singles (most of which were not released in the US, where I am) were indeed catchy. And I'm sure the guys appreciated the fact that they were getting known because of songs like this one.
Brian, Mick, and Steve are probably enjoying a couple drinks, jamming out, being wild, and just making up for lost time up there in heaven. Miss you guys!
O very sad how Brian's life began, and even sadder how it ended.😪 Rest in Peace Steve Priest. He (Steve had the cutest smile EVER) Such a GREAT GROUP! Only One left Andy. Must be very sad for him, like the Bee Gees, Only one left.
No body can say that this was the best years and still going it always been the best it will never stop to what we had in the 70s Long live the 70s for year to come
you know what i love about glam rock.?They always are having a good time,i discovered sweet in 1978 i was just 5.Then i reconnect with the sweet in 1989 with a vhs that brought out.I still i have saved a lots of 7 inch singles i collected by working in a charity shop volunteering.Brian was my 1st rock idol and glam rock still lives on.from shaz in the uk.
What a great band !!! Thank you for your fantastic Sweet-Sound 🎶👌 You are sadly missed Brian, Mick and Steve. Keep on rocking and having fun together where ever you are. I still love you guys 💕
3 of them gone. RIP 😔. Keeping Sweet alive is the great Andy Scott. Sweet was my go to band when I was at school. The first time I saw them was on The Golden Shot with this very song. I thought they were awesome.
I do not know who and how to relate to The Sweet? BUT! In the post-Soviet space, the great Brian Francis Connolly will remain for many decades the idol of millions, if not billions. This Scottish blonde sang and had no idea that he would win hearts in many Countries of the World! The former USSR and the Countries in the Post-Soviet space remember you-Brian Francis Connolly!
their music knew no boundaries from the early glam songs to their heavy stuff in the mid 70s to their mature mellow stuff in late 70s early 80s. it's hard to believe it's the same band sometimes. Simply the best truly magic!!
That's the beauty of the Sweet. You get 4 bands for the price of one. If you don't like one type of music, then they have plenty more to choose from. I personally love all their styles, though 73 to 76 is probably my favorite.
Sweet are the kind of band you remember from the Seventies, and you listened to their great music at the time, then you bump into them in a theatre in Hastings and realise what lovely, talented guys they were, who made your life better. I was there at the time but only now I realise what Steve Priest contributed to Sweet's showmanship, the Sweet myth.
This is my type of music. Never enjoyed anything heavy. But this band took me by the hand and seduced me down the path from Funny Funny to Sweet FA. No other band in the world could do this. They were truly exceptional.
@@farrellvanessa absolutely, thank god for utube, I think its kept me sane, during this nightmare, at least we can take ourselves back in time in thought, and dream.
@@andymatthews7617 That's right. It's been a tough couple of years and not enough Sweet music to go around IMO. But at least we can hang on to what we do have of them.
Brian had a lovely voice. Love this song. My oldest boy is a Joe too so I played this song for him when he was a baby lots of times. This and Wig Wam Bam which is on my top ten list of songs I want at my funeral one day.
Esta cancion tanta alegre y bailable se escuchaba en las emisoras radiales en 1972.Recordando al insuperable grupo Sweet .Saludos y bendiciones desde Lima Peru.
Holy crap, I can’t believe that I used to wear two coloured flares & had long hair like Brians. Great music & a wonderful time to be 17 years old. No money, no car , crappy job that only paid £6.00 a week and always on the look out for girls. Amazing days.🇬🇧👍👍👍
What a song, such good memories. Wanna go back in time... The girl at 2.21 is so beautifull and dance so sweet... Nowadays you don't see that anymore... Still building my timemachine... 😄
MUCHAS GRACIAS A TODOS LOS AMIGOS QUE SUBEN ESTA HERMOSA MUSICA, PERO MOLESTA QUE ALGUNAS PERSONAS PONGAN CONDICIONES ESTAMOS CASI 4 AÑOS Y TOTALMENTE SIN FINES DE LUCRO, GRACIAS ESTIMADOS Y DE NUEVO GRACIAS.
