These delicious steamed rice cakes have a soft and airy texture. They are made with sweet potatoes and best serve warm, and with some shredded coconut, if you desired.

Ingredients
2 Small (260 grams) Sweet Potatoes, peeled, cut into small chunks
200 grams Cake Flour, sifted
100 grams Rice Flour
120 to 150 grams Sugar
200 ml Water
1 tsp instant Yeast
1/4 tsp Sea Salt

Hi, is it possible to make it Gluten Free? Can the cake flour be substituted? Could I just use more rice flour?

You can subs the cake flour but not the rice flour.

Thank you for sharing this video. Your video show you baked 7 cups of rice cake but my turned to out too many cups (around 14 cups)1) can I half all the ingredients quantity if I want to make smaller portion?2) I baked it and it look more like muffins, what went wrong? ( may batter may be too try)

You can halved the recipe. Adjust the ingredient accordingly. This recipe is for steaming not baking. Thanks.

For the 200 grams cake flour you used, can I replace it with All Purpose flour or plain flour -all they the same?

The cake flour over here is lighter..you can use AP or any regular wheat flour. Thanks.
