I love Millie and Sallie May. They're such great sisters. And this was such a touching short. That third playbill seems to be stumping most reactors! I think it's supposed to be "Hello, Dolly!"
I'm a trans woman, and the pain in Sallie May's voice when she says she doesn't see how she fits into that new life of Millies's. Oh fuck, it made me weep the first time I watched it.
2:16 oh ehhh... Emm... This is on par with Jeffrey Dummer in the Hazbin pilot. If you are evil enough and know how to do marketing, then you may succeed in business in hell
6:24 so this is not a concession from Millie. It is Sally Mae who must do things and accept the situation. Maybe that's fair, since Millie is not 100% comfortable at home
Every Millie episode seems to turn into a "Millie and" episode, where the other person ends up doing all the character growth. What does Millie want that she doesn't have? What are her insecurities? Where does Millie need to grow, and when will we get to watch her do it? Maybe that's okay. Maybe Millie is just a well-adjusted person doing well-adjusted things who doesn't need a journey. That would be very disappointing, though.
