Swell Season (Irish musician Glen Hansard and Czech singer and pianist Markéta Irglová) speak with Boing Boing's David Pescovitz, and perform an unreleased song for us during a US tour.
The musical duo's name comes from Hansard's favourite novel by Josef Škvorecký from 1975, of the same title.

I love Glen, such a soulful artist, and the emotion and passion he pours into his voice when he sings is always moving. I like what he has to say too, really great interview, and Markéta seems sweet too, just wish she would have said more.

what's funny is before this interview i got a turn table and my dad had a vinyl of cat stevens greatest hits and i absolutely love it. it is brilliant.

@bigblink Since you asked: we used three Canon 5D mk2 cameras with 16-35, 24-70 and 70-200 lenses.

@SpotlesssMind it looks like it might be the Canon EOS 5d Mark II or the 1D Mark I... the 5D M2 costs about 2500 bucks and the 1D M1 costs 5 grand and yes, their depth of field is amazing and the CMOS Sensor is large enough to use these puppies as documentary or short film cameras, that's why I'm saving money to get one for me!
