One of the finest combat aircraft ever made.. I'm not just biased because I spent several years helping to make them fly, but they are truly magnificent...
@@Bigdogstusks yes they were and the pillows surely were these were flown by the finest fighter pilots in the world but you clearly don’t know like you already stated
This is the most beautiful site u will ever see For some its the last thing they see , if u see and hear it your probably going to be OK. A vet from a royal engineer 9 para told me that, he said the screams of those jet engines haunted him a long time. I don't remember his name but his exploits were also legendary
At least the German air force still flies Tornadoes. O could be wrong, but in a deal with the USA, the Germans need to have an aircraft capable of delivering American nuclear weapons, should the need arise at some point. Currently only the tornado, in the German air force, is certified for that. last year an order for some f35s was made to get some more timely aircraft for this purpose.
I miss the low flying in Wales. From an early age there were always jets screaming over a'd under us. I worked in the mountains up near Machynlleth and they'd often ping our presence by making the tree tops above us dance in the blast. Yes I swear you could almost smell the pilots aftershave. Awesome
When I used to drive up to North Wales from the South I used to pass that valley. The road is about the same height as the jets passing through, and was lucky enough to experience the thrill of being passed by a jet just about level with me.
Shame the local government has not made a dedicated observation point there so that everyone can see and hear what these pilots and co-pilots do with their aircraft first hand. It can be very impressive on a good day 👍
LOVE the Tornado, I believe it could do mach 1 dashes into the target on a high.low high style mission...the only other aircraft that might match this was the F105. But this aircraft is just flat out graceful.
And a variety of weather conditions to test oneself during "P"Company and failing my 2 Pre- S A S attempts . Left the Airborne in 1977. Many good memories, thanks for the great video.
